Chapter 23 -- I'm Tired of Waiting

Elsa's P.O.V.

Surprisingly, the past few weeks Niall and I have been getting along great. We've gone on a few dates, cuddled and watched movies together, and jammed together, but we're still not together. Today the boys had a meet n greet in Fairfax, Va (yay for my hometown). The boys have a two week break, and I think most of them are gonna head home, but I'm just gonna stay here in the states. It's hard being here in Fairfax because of what happened to my parents and not having my "other" parents with me is weird. The meet n greet is before some award show, so I decided to surprise them with lunch and show up at the venue. The boys think I'm just staying in the hotel today but I decided otherwise.

When I showed up, I showed the bodyguard my pass and he let me through. I walked around for a few minutes and eventually spotted the boys. Niall was the first to notice and he stared for a minute and then waved. He was wearing his black raybans which I loved. He then gestured for me to go behind the curtain so fans wouldn't notice me and get mad. Eventually they all came behind and smiled when they saw me.

"Else, we thought you were staying in today?" Liam asked as he hugged me.

"Well I decided to be nice and bring you all lunch." I said.

"You're too kind." Harry said.

"Ya you're adorable." Zayn added and kissed me on the cheek. I sat down next to him and I could see the jealously in Niall's eyes.

"So, how was the meet n greet today?" I asked as I took a bite of my sandwich.

"It was really good, except there were some annoying girls that wouldn't stop asking questions about you." Louis said.

"I think they're catching on about you and Niall being back together." Liam said.

"Well we're not actually back together." I said. I looked up at Niall and for a split second I saw the hurt in his eyes.

"I'll be right back guys." he said and got up. I sighed and got up to follow him. I followed him to a secluded area and I watched as he ran his hands through his hair in frustration.

"Niall, what's wrong?" I asked as I finally caught up with him. He instantly turned around to face me and crashed his lips on mine. This kiss was definitely out of this world. His kisses made me feel something I never felt with anyone. He slowly started to pull away, but I brought him back by wrapping my arms around his neck. I then broke away and Niall stared into my eyes.

"Niall, what are we doing?" I asked.

"I don't really know Else, but we need to tell the boys." he said as he pressed his forehead to mine. Yes secretly we are kind of back together, but no one knows. Suddenly my phone dinged, and got tons of tweets from fans on twitter. They were all tweeting me pics of Niall and some random blonde chick.

"Niall, who is this? Why does this caption say you're cheating on me?" I asked.

"Else, I don't know who she is. You know rumors like that start all the time." he said. I stared into his eyes and felt the tears forming and he reached for my cheek but I backed away and got out of there as soon as I could. So many questions and thoughts are running through my head. I went back to the hotel and the boys kept calling me non stop but I ignored every single one. I knew if they didn't hear from me, they would freak so I just left a tweet.

I fell asleep for a while, but then my alarm went off telling me that the awards were about to start and the boys would be on. I instantly flipped to the channel the boys were on and that's when I saw him. He was being interviewed.

"Niall, is it true you cheated on Elsa?" the interviewer asked. Great just what we both need.

"No, actually. We're quite happy." he said. "And it's those stupid rumors that make her upset, really."

"Time to go mate." Louis whispered.

"I don't know where the fuck you get your information." he snapped and I watched as he walked away with a girl linked to his arm.

"How could he say we're happy when he has another girl on his arm?" I yelled to myself. I then grabbed the closet pillow and screamed into it.

As per usual, tears were running down my face as I stuffed my face with chunky monkey ice cream. The awards were going by faster and faster, and finally it was time for the boys to perform.

"Ladies and Gentlemen please welcome the one and only One Direction singing two of their hit songs." the announcer said.

First the boys sang one of their fast upbeat songs which was Midnight Memories and then they decided to slow it down and Niall got his guitar out.

"Your hand fits in mine like it's made just for me. But bear this in mind it was meant to be. And I'm joining up the dots with the freckles on your cheeks and it all makes sense to me." Zayn sang.
"I know you've never loved the crinkles by your eyes. When you smile you've never loved your stomach or your thighs. The dimples in your back at the bottom of your spine but I'll love them endlessly." Liam sang

"I won't let these little things slip out of my mouth, but if I do it's you. Oh, it's you they add up to.
I'm in love with you and all these little things." Zayn and Liam sang.

"You can't go to bed without a cup of tea and maybe that's the reason that you talk in your sleep. And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep. Though it makes no sense to me." Louis sang.

I know you've never loved the sound of your voice on tape. You never want to know how much you weigh. You still have to squeeze into your jeans but you're perfect to me." Harry sang.

Before Niall's solo came up, they all stopped playing and singing.

"Before I sing this next part, there is one girl in particular I would like to dedicate this to. She doesn't know it, but I'm uncontrollably, hopelessly, and unconditionally in love with her. I lost her once and I don't plan on losing her again." Niall said into the mic. As predictable, I was literally bawling my eyes out and he began to strum his guitar again.

"You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you. And you'll never treat yourself right, darling, but I want you to. If I let you know I'm here for you. Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you, oh." Niall sang.

"And I've just let these little things slip out of my mouth. Cause it's you, oh, it's you. It's you they add up to. And I'm in love with you. And all these little things. "Niall I love you." I whispered.

"One Direction ladies and gentlemen!" the announcer said.
