Wednesday stared at the colorful tapestries that hung from the walls around her. Enid slept quietly wrapped around the dark haired girl. She bit her lip as she thought of possible ways to make Ajax suffer for what he did. Growing frustrated with her lack of ideas, she spoke quietly to get Thing's attention.
"Thing. Help me get out of her death grip, I need to think and she's making my brain feel weird." Wednesday deadpanned. The hand tapped in agreement and hopped down off of the bed. He dragged over a moderately large stuffed animal and pointed at it. "Great idea." Wednesday said, easily slipping out from under Enid and replacing herself with the plushie. Free of her captor, the goth walked over to her side of the room, grabbed a book on torture, and sat down at her desk.
"We can't kill him, you know this right?" Thing tapped, hopping up onto her desk.
"Unfortunately. But I'm not above leaving a few scars, mentally or physically." Wednesday sighed. She flipped though the pages of her book.
"We could make him stone himself again?" Thing suggested.
"No, that's not severe enough." Wednesday turned another page. "We could kidnap him."
"Definitely not!" Thing tapped frantically before Wednesday could get too invested in the idea. "Imagine what Enid would think if she found out. Sure, she's mad but not mad enough torture and kidnap someone."
"Fine. I'll keep looking." The psychic kept flipping through pages in her book, skipping over most of them because a lot of it involved kidnapping as a precursor.
"We could have Eugene infest his dorm with bees." She said. Thing did an action akin to a sigh and shook in disagreement.
"He would never let us use his babies like that. He loves them too much." The hand signs. Wednesday set the book down in frustration and leaned back in her chair, still maintaining her good posture.
"Do you have any bright ideas then?" The goth said between gritted teeth.
"We could have him experience an Addams family Christmas tradition?" Thing suggested, deviously. A small smile crept onto Wednesday's face at the suggestion.
"That's perfect." The psychic stood up and walked over to her closet. She grabbed her jacket, satchel, and combat boots and assembled an outfit. Wednesday picked up her phone and called Eugene.
"Wednesday? Why are you calling me?" Eugene said through the phone.
"Eugene. Do you want to go bug hunting with me?" She asked vaguely. Wednesday could almost hear the excitement radiating from the boy once she asked him that.
"Wow! Yes of course! I'll get my bag, where do you want to meet?" He asked.
"The entrance to the school would be fine. How do you feel about spiders?" Wednesday said as she walked out of her dorm, making sure not to wake up Enid. The time was only 9:26 so the halls weren't being patrolled yet.
"I love spiders, venomous insects have always been my forte. Why?" Eugene asks.
"I need to capture some wolf spiders..." Her eyes squint as she thinks of a way to disguise her motives. "For a project. We're learning about the anatomy of arachnids in a class of mine." Wednesday rounds a corner and exits Ophelia Hall.
"Okay! I love catching wolf spiders, they may not be the most rare of bugs but they're definitely an exhilarating catch!" Eugene says, obviously smiling into the receiver.
"Good, I will be waiting for you at the gate." Wednesday says before hanging up and shoving her phone in her pocket.
