BEAU LANGLEY'S POV
The night has finally come to steal the Graff Pink diamond from Lanet, we have gone over the plan a few times, and everyone knows what role to play.
I take a deep breath and enter Hotel Mirina, I've seen plenty of luxurious hotels, but this one takes the cup. "This place is straight out of Top Billing, with just the right amount of bling," I whisper into my earpiece, looking up at the large chandelier above me.
"The only bling we want is on that 60th floor," Ariel responds, a little bit too excited for somebody who is just sitting in the car.
I walk over to the receptionist, toolbox in hand, and get into my role as a repairman.
"Good evening, we got a call about a broken down elevator."
"Broken down elevator? Nobody told me about a broken-down Elevator," the receptionist eyes me suspiciously.
"Well, either Lanet lied to me or you don't ...,"
She cuts me off, "Mr Hines? He didn't mention anything to me."
"Look Ms, I know he would be happy to come back to the hotel and figure that his elevator is still not fixed"
"But, it is working just fine, he used it a moment ago."
"Oh is it?" I walk over to the elevator and press the up button, the elevator opens up but the door jams midway. I turn back to look at the receptionist nonchalantly. "Well, I guess, it really is working fine. Imagine Mr Hines stuck in here coz the door is jammed,"
"Well...," she bites her lip nervously.
"Ma'am may I just do my job, I'll fix it here and check if the door up there is working fine too, then we both get to keep our jobs,"
"Okay, okay. May I see your ID?"
"Of course." I hand her the ID and she takes down some details.
"Alright Mr Black, here's the key card," she hands me the key card.
I paste a smile on my face, "Please, call me Danny."
Once I'm done dealing with her, I squeeze through the jammed doors of the elevator and press the up button. "Alright, Teddy, I'm in, do your thing." The jammed doors suddenly close, I tap the key card then I'm on my way up to the penthouse. "Okay, Beau, I mean Mr Black," Teddy chuckles, I don't know why he's so amused with the name. "You have a ten minutes window before the new shift of guards notice that something's off with the cameras."
"Alright, Stanz you think that's enough time?" I ask Stanz, who decided to climb up the building instead.
"No offence, but not everyone is as slow as you are. I'm already looking around his beautiful palace."
The elevator doors ding open and I walk into the penthouse. Stanz is sitting on the staircase like she owns the place.
"I hope you didn't break anything." I point a knowing finger at Stanz and she rolls her eyes. "You're lucky you came in when you did, I was about to"
"If you two are done fooling around. The safe should be in his bedroom, behind the nightstand." Nova grumbles.
Stanz chuckles "Nova, always so tense,"
We head to Lanet's bedroom, the nightstand is not hard to find, and we spot it immediately. I move the nightstand the safe is exactly where Nova said it would be.
Stanz squeals, "Omg, look at this baby."
I can never understand how she's always excited to break into things, the harder it is, the more exciting things are for her. I look at her like she was some crazy person
