LANET HINE'S POV
It's Sunday night Zane and Teddy left early morning to attend to some business, I and Beau have spent all day together and we now lay in bed.
"It's really nice here. I wish I could get myself a secluded beach house." Beau says.
"Now that I know you could afford to, why not get one?"
"Land act doesn't allow me to, can't purchase Elite property with Low-Class ID."
"Then why not change your class?"
He lets out a deep breath and sinks into his pillow.
"It's hard to leave everyone behind?" I ask, but he doesn't answer. Beau turns to face me and wraps me in his arms.
"Beau if you changed your class to Elite, you could get into politics and sabotage this entire system, you're..."
He cuts me off before I can finish talking. "I'm not into politics Lanet. Besides, that would be like walking into Lion's den."
I still think he can do so much to help people see that this class division is at the expense of humanity.
Beau steals a quick kiss from me, giving me a small smile. "Get out of your head and stay with me."
I wrap my arms around him, pulling him flush against me. Beau looks into my eyes as if searching for something.
I can never get used to how his eyes take me in, fading everything into the background.
"Are you busy tomorrow?" I ask
"It depends, why do you ask?" he smiles mischievously.
"I was wondering if you'd like to stay at my place for the day or days."
I hope he doesn't think I'm a bit too much.
Suddenly feeling bashful, I duck my head into the crook of his neck.
"I would love to." He pulls back a little to look at me and then he places his forehead against mine.
I don't know when I fell asleep, but I'm woken up by the loud beeping sound of my phone alarm.
"Arg" I groan and feel for my phone beside me, turning off the alarm with my eyes still closed.
"Babe, wake up." I feel Beau's fingers caress my cheek gently.
"No, let's stay in bed a while longer." I pull him into my arms and roll him over so he is on top of me.
"You have work, wake up." Beau places playful kisses over my chest, kissing his way up to my face.
"Are you trying to wake me up or get me excited?" I open my eyes to find Beau smiling down at me. "Good morning."
"Good morning." he rolls off the bed and lifts his hand out to me. "Come, I made breakfast."
I reach for his hand and thread my fingers through his as he helps me up and leads me to the kitchen.
When I get to the kitchen a big breakfast awaits me on the kitchen island.
"This looks yummy."
Beau pulls out a chair for me and I take a seat in front of my plate.
"I could get used to this. Thank you."
He smiles and takes his seat beside me, and then places his hand over mine on the table.
I turn to look at him and am overwhelmed by the compassion in his eyes. I wonder what's so different this morning. He is acting a bit strange, but I'm not complaining.
