"Why are you here?", Tonowari asked right after getting down from his skimwing and greeting the strange family of six.
From what could be heard and seen, both parents from each clan already knew each other.
The man still explained that they were forest people and that they started their long journey to the water islands -the Metkayina clan specifically- in need for shelter. Not forgetting to mention the terrifying reason behind it.But Ronal was hardly affected by that. Watching her inspect the other na'vis bodies thoroughly made them quite nervous. One of the boys' ears briefly flattened at the sight.
By roughly grabbing the younger brother's hand and holding it up to show it to the people surrounding them, she insisted on the children being aliens and having "demon blood" for having five fingers instead of four, like normal na'vi have.
The crowd gasped in fear yet again.Perplexed, Ao'nung widened his eyes.
He chose to take a second glance at the boy whose tail he was pulling just earlier, but this time directly on his hands. However, unlike some of his other siblings, he had a usual amount of fingers.
They shared one last look before piercing their ears back to the conversation.A lot of back and forth, not really getting anywhere. But as soon as one specific sentence got thrown into the room, the atmosphere seemed to change instantly.
"My husband was Toruk Makto", the serious, yet graceful-looking woman mentioned in a strict tone while strolling around said man to be in front of him.
Her charisma spoke words without saying a single thing; she was strong in every way possible. And finally, after what felt like an eternity, the Olo'eyktan and Tsahìk made the decision to let the family stay in their village and to join their clan; to become a real Metkayina.
Even though they knew that there were going to be big changes and that the Omaticaya had to learn everything from scratch, it was still the least they could do for them. No one would want to switch positions with the Sullys at this point, which shows just how bad it was for them. And how badly they needed any help given right now.Ao'nung furrowed his muscles above his fierce eyes and shot holes with his gaze into the weird-looking na'vi in front of him. "It won't be easy, though", he spurted out. "If I were you, I wouldn't be too surprised if a Tulkun ate me anytime soon with those skinny arms and tails of yours".
The younger brother looked like he was about to explode from the built-up anger inside of him, but before he could do anything rash and regrettable, his dad quickly held him back. "Don't you dare cause any trouble or fulfill some of your stupid ideas, Lo'ak".
When the man realized his youngest child was tensing up in his arms, he gave her a small squeeze to assure her that everything was alright."Freaks..", the leader's son chuckled out.
Rotxo slightly nudged his friend's side while they started laughing at them with a huge grin on their faces, while Tsireya just looked at them in shock. "You're unbelievable..", she whispered."What? But Dad I-", the boy couldn't finish his sentence as the older sister slightly kicked his leg, telling him to shut it out now.
"Instead of complaining, you better thank your new leaders for gifting us with this much-needed opportunity", Jake added, making the brothers lower their ears and tails in shame."Ao'nung is right", Ronal told them. She slightly lifted her arms. "It is going to be hard. That's why our beautiful daughter and son will be the ones teaching your children the ways to a successful life on the reefs".
"Wait what?!"
