While Tsireya was having a conversation with the Sully's other daughter, Kiri, Neteyam noticed his brother violently staring at the girl in awe.
His eyes would follow her every movement, and his ears would perk up every time she'd say something.
Lo'ak wasn't sure if he ever saw a girl so gorgeous.

Meanwhile, Tuk was comfortably letting her head rest on Neteyam's shoulder while getting carried on his arms due to the exhaustion from their long journey.

The Metkayina boy in the back mindlessly glanced at the tail swinging left to right in front of him.
From the outside, he looked like a tiger watching his prey, waiting for the perfect moment to attack.

But in his head, he wasn't even thinking of pulling the tail again. It was more like trying to touch the small tip, which was covered in fluffy-looking hair.
Something most of the Metkayina na'vi have never seen before.
"It may help them to balance on trees and stuff, but in water, these will do nothing", Ao'nung thought, now many different things crossing his mind. 'Why would they come to us of all na'vi clans out there?' or 'You can't even slap someone with a tail so thin', the last one being less important..

But then, very slowly and still stuck in his thoughts, the boy reached out his hand just enough for his skin to brush against the hair the tiniest bit. It felt soft, like a small droplet falling off his finger.
At this point, Ao'nung didn't even care anymore. He let his hand playfully intertwine with the few single hair strands before carefully twisting them between his fingers, his fixated eyes taking in every motion.

However, the moment didn't last long when suddenly Neteyam whined out a small whimper while feeling his whole body tensing up in an instant. It was so unexpected that he almost dropped his sister, but was luckily still able to catch her.
And before taking any other step forward, the na'vi drastically turned around, his braids swinging everywhere.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?", he hissed, anger and irritation lingering in his voice. To say Neteyam wasn't beyond confused would be a huge understatement.

He slightly wrapped his tail around his own body to not let history repeat itself, while Tuk stared at the Metkayina with her eyes furrowed and her small fangs showing.

"Whoa, calm down", Ao'nung replied, raising his arms in a playful manner. As a result of his actions, he could see Neteyam's face clearly get more angry with every second.
Lo'ak was the first to stand by their side. "Wait, what happened?", he questioned this whole situation, visibly bewildered. Tsireya was just casually talking about their traditions, and the next thing you know, his brother and the reef boy are about to scratch their eyes out.

Ao'nung smiled to himself; he thought this was dearly entertaining.
"He played with the.. tip of my tail, that's mad weird!"

"Now don't lie to yourself like that", the teal na'vi chuckled lightly, tilting his head. "From what could be heard, it seemed like you didn't hate it that much.."

Great.
Neteyam's ears flattened in an instant, and from there on, the group went silent. No one said a word for what seemed like an eternity.
It felt like his heart was going to jump out of his chest, that's how hard it was pounding. And the only one really noticing was his little sister.
But instead of making a huge fuss, he put her down and took a few steps forward, now standing face-to-face with Ao'nung.

"Tell me, how old are you?"

"What?"

Neteyam huffed. "You heard me".

"I'm 17, born to be the next Olo'eyktan", Ao'nung looked in his yellow eyes, which were just centimeters away from his'.

"Oh, is that so? Well, how come we're the same age, but you're still so much more stupid than I am?", the former omaticaya breathed out, getting more quiet towards the end. He pressed his finger into Ao'nung's chest while doing so.

"Na'vi's tails, especially forest na'vi's, can be very sensitive. You would've known if you used your small brain more often".
