"What are you..?-", he started but was immediately cut off by Ao'nung's loud voice. "Mister Sully?", he asked the man a bit further in front. "Can you take a picture of me and your son too?"
Eyes wide open, Neteyam turned to look back at the boy in shock and frustration. This situation was a little embarrassing due to everyone staring at them now. "But why d-"
"Yeah, sure!", the boy got interrupted yet again, this time by his father.
Huffing out, he let himself get dragged next to Ao'nung again while feeling the other's arm place itself solidly on his waist but slightly moving more and more down to his hip. A small shiver ran down Neteyam's spine as Ao'nung's fingers pressed into his skin before carefully and at a slow pace caressing that side.
At this point, he couldn't even tell if the heat rising inside him came from the fire or the warm, soft touch of Aonung.
"Come on, darling, why are you so nervous?", said boy suddenly breathed into his ear, flashbacks flooding Neteyam's mind.
How did he notice that every single time? Was his heart beating so hard you could see it jumping out of his chest or something?
Trying to distract himself from the fact that Ao'nung just called him darling, he found himself in a hopeless situation there. Mostly because the boy's voice sounded so deep and calm in that moment, making Neteyam's tail swing around and his ears flatten due to the tension.
He quickly placed his arm behind Ao'nung's back to make the picture look less awkward afterwards when Jake called out if the two were ready.
Instead of bothering to answer the boy next to him, Neteyam just nodded and hurriedly got ready by plastering a small smile onto his face and straightening his back.
But just as Jake was about to hit the last number while counting, Ao'nung managed to bend down slightly and brush his lips on the other one's top of the ear. He connected both body parts, showering that place with a small amount of soft, feather-like kisses. The warm air hitting Neteyam's skin through Ao'nung's nose made the whole situation a lot worse. He felt the panic rise inside of him but was not able to let it show because of the photo.
From the outside, it looked like Ao'nung was just whispering something to the other, but in reality, they both knew that it was so much more than that.
The pounding intensified, and Neteyam's breathing became irregular.
A bright flash signaled the two boys that Jake had finally pressed the button and that his son could eventually flee from the situation that had brought him so much stress, but the boy thought wrong.
While continuing to let his arm rest on Neteyam's hip, Ao'nung stepped forward, impatiently wanting to see the outcome.
And even though the younger na'vi thought the other's behavior just now was more than weird, he simply couldn't find that little spark inside of his mind that should've told him to slap Ao'nung's arm away, get angry, and leave the feast.
Instead, Neteyam shamelessly gave in to the boy's familiar touch, feeling the place where he had kissed him before pulsating slightly.
"How cute!", Neytiri suddenly cheered while ripping the camera out of her husband's hands and observing the picture thoroughly. Of course they were happy that their son had already made such a good friend, but on the other hand, they were feeling a bit emotional when thinking about the fact that Neteyam was an adult now and not their little warrior anymore.
She gave him the camera, which he gratefully took, moving it to the side so that Ao'nung could see too. After staring at the photo for a while, Neteyam couldn't help but smile a little, which then turned into a warm-hearted laughter when he looked up to Ao'nung. The boy just grinned a little, not being able to fully hide the small redness that was creeping up and flushing his cheeks and ears.
"My son, is everything alright?", Tonowari then asked with a hint of concern lingering in his voice, but that just led to a darker red decorating his firstborn's face.
The 17-year-old just quickly brushed it off and walked away with Neteyam by his side when he saw that everyone was getting ready to sit down again.
"Where are we going?", the smaller boy questioned this whole situation, but not pulling himself out of the firm grasp.
"I want you to meet someone", Ao'nung replied calmly. "He's friendly, I promise"
