"What worth do I have?"

📝

Fitz looks out of the window as his history teacher hands out the pop quiz they did yesterday. He wasn't expecting anything less than 99% on his test, why would he? As his teacher came up to him, Fitz turned to look at him he gave his signature Vacker smile. His teacher smiled back and handed his paper to him, "Excellent score as always," He said, sliding his test sheet. Fitz said a thank you and flips his test to see his score.

100%

Fitz smiled and sighed a breath of relief. Good, he got a good grade and it wasn't below the 90's so that means he did good. Not great, but good. "Fitz, what did you get?" Fitz blinks out of his thoughts and looks to his right and sees one of his classmates, a girl with dyed pink hair, "I got a 79! It's really good right?" She said and Fitz fought not to grimace. It wasn't great considering the passing mark was 70...But Fitz just smiled and nodded, "Yea. I got an 100," He said and the girl rolled her eyes and muttered a "Of course," Fitz had to fight of the urge to shrink back.

He pissed someone off again...

RINNNNGGGGG

Fitz bit back a sigh of relief and got up. He grabbed his notebooks and other stuff before heading out off the classroom. As students began to fill the hall, eager to get to the cafeteria, Fitz made his way to the library. He needed to finish up some student council stuff for A sports day the council decided on. As he heads that way, Fitz suddenly stops. Looking up at the wall he sees his picture under a wooden plank that read "Honor Students,"

Fitz Vacker. That's him. He was Fitz Vacker, top of his year, the golden boy, the captain of the Foxfire basketball team and Student council president. He was also the son of 2 alumni of the school, Della and Alden Vacker and brother of Alvar another of the schools alumni. So, he had huge shoes to fill in...But he managed, that's what people say. But...

Fitz blinks and slaps his cheeks, "Get a grip." He muttered to himself and turned around and headed for the library.

Grades didn't make themselves, he made them.

What worth would he have if he didn't have them?
