IRENE'S POV
it's dinner and all my family members are here na, except for sandro who's probably in the hospital right now.
Nag kkwentuhan lang kami at nag uusap tungkol sa mga nangyayari, kuya bong also talks about his campaign and rally.
"You should come sometimes irene, ikaw at ang family mo. That'll be fun" kung bong said looking at me
"Nako kuya, ewan ko lang ha. Specially winter is here, I can't just go wherever I want" I said and smile while gently rubbing my son's hair
"Mommy I'll come if you want" my son said
Isn't he the sweetest
"But anak, I don't want you to be hurt. I don't want you to end up crying because of the mean things people would say about you, and your family" I explained
"Irene, he's not gonna be like you. People loves us now" manang imee said
"People doesn't loves us ate, they just understand now what really happened, but that doesn't mean na tinatanggap talaga tayo ng mga tao" tugon ko kay manang
"Irene, its been decades already. Ang tatanda na natin those word of people doesn't matter to us na dapat" kung bong said
"If so why can't you let alexis and sandro go public? Why can't you let people know sandro is not single anymore" I countered
"Because she's a wreck. Can't you see? Where is sandro right now? Instead of having dinner with his family andun sa girlfriend nya" bong mouthed
"Dad she's not a wreck, she's just a little let's say go with the flow. She's the type of girl na she'll do what she want" Simon said
"She's not like us" kuya said
"she'll get what she wants whatever it takes" I said siding with simon. "Just like us" I added looking at kuya
"But different ways irene, she doesn't do it carefully. Hindi nya pinag iisipan" manang imee countered
"Okay shut it" I heard from mommy. "I think she's good, polite and respectful" Mommy said
I sigh in relief
"You didn't see what she did to this family mom, she's clearly splitting this family" bong said. "Look at Irene, Simon and sandro on her side. Always" he added annoyed
I heard footsteps at parang nag mamadali ito.
"Dad ill drop my campaign. I'm coming with alexis" sandro said
"No you're not" walang ganang sagot ni kuya
I can see that sandro is rattling, and I don't know why
"Dad please!" Sandro yelled
"We're eating sandro, sit here and join us" kuya bong said still not looking at his son
"Dad, I want to drop my campaign. Sasama ako kay alexis. That's final" sandro said sternly
"I said no you're not!" Sigaw ni kuya bong
Padabog nyang inilapag ang mga kubyertos at tumayo.
"Ano bang problema mo ha! I've been training you for years, for this. Ngayon that we're almost there, almost there! Saka kapa mag gaganyan!" Kuya bong is in disbelief
He never saw this coming, his eldest son going on the different path and not walking on the path he made for him
"Yes dad I know, wala akong ginawa kundi sundin lahat ng gusto mo. Sundin lahat ng sinasabi mo, I give up lahat ng gusto ko" sandro said. "But that don't you know that this is what I really want, ayokong mawala si alexis sakin. Because she's all what I need, kaya sasama ako sa kanila sa china" sandro said and about to walk out
