- Aether's POV -

I watch in horror as the sages and matra take my friend away. "Y/n!" I yell only to be slapped across the face. "Don't worry. She'll be completely fine." Azar says calmly. "Listen," Alhaithem then begins to explain what he knows about me. "What are you doing!?" I yell. He betrayed us.. "Alhaithem. Your plan is futile. The creation of a new god as already started." Azar calls him out. "And your dear friend...is the last thing we needed." He smiles with a cold smile.

From what I can see, Alhaithem breaks out of his constraints and starts to breathe heavy. "Azar..." He growls but Azar keeps going. "AZAR!" He yells and launches himself at the Grand Sage but misses, knocking something else over. He gets contained by incoming guards. "Exile him to Aaru Village. He's gone completely insane." Azar states. I look back and see his Akasha Terminal turn green again. They then send Paimon and I away to confinement. At least the next parts of the plan can get into play.

Once we're left alone in the confinement room, I go over the plan with Paimon. "Ok. I need to wake Nahida up. And now apparently I also need to save Y/n." I think out loud and Paimon agrees. "Let's start with Nahida because she can take us to Y/n and Scaramouche." Paimon says. "Ok I need to wake Nahida up using the Akasha. I have to find a stable connection." I say while roaming around the room, trying to find a good connection. Eventually I find a good spot and connect with her consciousness. "Nahida!" I yell but she doesn't hear me. "Nahida!!" I repeat over and over. I end up being able to break the barrier and wake her up successfully. Now, the next part of the plan can begin.

As we make our way to the Sanctuary, I look down and see Nilou starting to distract everyone. I quickly move because au know they'll find out Nahida escaped. The guards run from guarding the entrance of the Sanctuary down to the Akademiya entrance. That's my chance and I take it. We successfully enter and I finally see Nahida in person. "I'm sorry for the situation I've put you through." Nahida apologizes. "Wait, where's Y/n?" She asks and Paimon looks at me. "They took her. I couldn't do anything to stop them.."I say looking down. "Don't blame yourself. We'll save her!" Nahida says while pumping her fist. She then reverts the Akasha to where only she can use them and the sages access. With that, we mentally prepare ourselves to fight for our lives.

"You know, the Akasha is very intricate. I've upgraded it for you so that it could help you on your travels." She explains. "Also, I know where the false god is. I intend to support you, but I don't have enough power to fight yet." She says. We know we have to enter Scaramouche's consciousness, so we enter the facility that was made by the Fatui. There's a lot of mechanical components and different platforms. Speaking of platforms, we have to connect three rotating pieces of floor in forded to continue going. As we go deeper into the facility, I can sense how strong he is. "I can sense that Scaramouche has either already become a good or is very close to doing so." Nahida says. And then we finally reach him.

He's in a huge mechanical suit. One that Y/n has been scared of since we've gotten here. "The sages weren't able to infuse him with the Divine Knowledge capsules, so he lacks the spiritual height of a true Archon." She explains. She then awakens him. "I challenge you to a fight. Let us reenact the Archon war!" He yells despite Nahida's pleas and someone else's but I can hear it. Everything around me goes dark but I'm clearly still awake. I look around until I see a figure. "Y/n!" I yell and run up to her. She's suspended in the air by wires. "Aether.." She cries. "I don't want to do this..He's using me. I'm so sorry for anything that happens here." She say desperately. "I know Y/n. Don't worry I'll do everything in my power to save you. I promise..." I say and everything lightens up and I'm back.
