Luz pov.

We walked down the muddy road full of broken bottles, drunks, thieves, pirates and merchants of the small island. The island was a safe haven for pirates and crooks of all kinds, where you could sell your bounty and buy certain illeagal merchandise, well if it isn't stolen first, The islands name was Shadow Island.

We passed by a lot of shady and suspicious characters along the way to our destination.

"This is so *ugh* so heavy *gah*" Gus said barely able to hold onto his barrel.

"*sigh* Here." Hunter said throwing Gus's barrel under his arm with his barrel still over his shoulder.

"Ya ya no problem, but your caring my stuff back." Hunter said replying to Gus.

"Okie dokie." Gus said.

"*sigh* thanks dear brother!" Gus said nudging Hunter with his elbow.

Gus put his now free hands behind his head in a relaxing position.

I looked over too Willow who was looking at Hunter holding the barrels with ease. I'm pretty sure she was thinking he was hot. She caught me staring so I smirked at her which made her jerk her head straight forward blushing a little.

We turned down an alley with a few merchants in the front, but the ally itself was empty. There was a man with a scar across his face showing a fancy sword to another equally shady man.

We passed by them and started down the  alley. The one with the sword got up and yelled to us.

"Hey good take today?" He said.

"Non of your business!" I yelled to him.

"Ya real good!" Gus yelled back.

Willow smacked the back of his head and told him to shut up. Gus rubbed the back of his head after Willow smacked it.

"Oh well then how bout you share if you got so much." The man said as three more guys came into the alley.

It was just me, Amity, Hunter, Willow, and Gus everyone else was back at the Owl.

"No now leave us alone before you regret it!" Amity said flipping the man off.

I chuckled a little at her response.

"I wasn't asking!" The man yelled to her.

He pulled up his sword and charged to Amity as the other man pulled a gun. Amity pulled out her sword too and swung her blade hitting his knocking the man over. The other man fired his gun and the bullet grazed Hunter's arm. I drew my gun and so did Willow I shot the shooter in the head and turned to the extra three guy's.

One had a knife, the other had an axe, and the biggest just had his fists. They all ran towards us. My gun was empty, but Willows wasn't. She shot and the bullet hit the guy with the knife in the leg. The other two reached us and the gig one began to punch at Hunter.

Hunter sucked and swung up his fist landing an uppercut on the thug. The other rant to Gus with the axe in hand. Gus disappeared in a puff of blue smoke. The man was confused and turned to see Gus behind him.

"H-HOW D-....DID YOU DO THAT!?" The man exclaimed.

"It's called magic bish...." Gus replied before landing a punch in the man's face.

The man fell to the ground with a bloody nose.

The man with the sword who started this whole endeavor yelled to us.

"W-Who are you?" He asked.

"Hehe us?.......we're the Hex pirates!" I said before curb stomping the man knocking him out.

We began to leave the alley and head to our hide out.

-5 minutes later-

We finally made it home. We entered the small store with a big sign reading
"The Owl House" It was filled with trinkets and stolen appliances. We walked in to see Raine at the counter.

"Oh hey lads how'd ya do?" Raine asked smirking.

"Pretty well" I replied

"except for the bastards in the alley who tried to take our bounty!" Amity said.

"Oh well things happen.....head to the back and drop it off with the rest." Raine said.

We all headed through the back door which lead to a room only a little smaller then the shop it's self. Within the room we found piles of gold, ruby's, and a few random sparkly things, and of course a sleeping Eda with a bottle of Apple rum in her hand. She quickly woke up to the sound of us closing the door, she fell to the ground letting out a small yelp.

"Gah-!" She exclaimed as she hit the floor with a thud.

"Hey Eda.." I say setting a barrel next too the door.

"Oh uh hey kid I was uh........w-working..." Eda replied in a tired tone.

"Uh huh yeah......" I said with half lidded eye's.

"Anyway look at what we got!" Gus said playfully pointing both of his fingers over his head towards the barrel's.

"Hm what is it....APPLE RUM!?" Eda questioned with a sparkle in her eye.

"No Eda no Apple rum...." I said shaking my head.

"Damn it why do I pay you all?" She asked.

"Cause we do the work and you loooooove us!" I said knelling down and pointing my head towards the owl lady playfully.

"Ya ya whatever now what's in the barrels?" She asked rubbing her hands together.

We opened the barrels too reveal glistening glittery gold. Eda's eyes sparkled and she as usual began too bathe in the bright glow of the treasure.

"Shiny!" She said.

Ever sense I met her she always wanted shiny things though I had no idea as too why. Just then a dog marched in the room and a couple of beards flew in.

"Owlbert!"I said holding my hands out for him too land on.

Owlbert landed in my hands and quickly nuzzled in my neck.

"Hoot hoot!" The other owl cried landing on Eda's head and chirping away.

"Not now Hooty, shiny!" She said.

A tired looking dog came up he was a dark raven black and had a white fur all over his head. The shape of his white patch gave the illusion it was a skull.

"Hey King." I said giving the dog a good scratch.

"Hehe ok Eda can we put the barrels in the basement now?" I asked giving a chuckle.

"No....shiiiiiiinny!" Eda said the gold still firmly locked into her gaze.

"Ok Eda you can look at it later." I said pulling her away.

"NO SHINY!" Eda yelled crawling back to the barrel.

I sighed and grabbed a small good statue and threw it on the couch, which Eda quickly leapt after. I motioned for everyone too quickly get the barrels and move them downstairs.

We eventually got all the barrels in the basement and headed back up. We found Eda still playing with her small shiny treasure.

There was a loud knock on the door. Raine went too open the door, but found a unwanted surprise on the other side.
