Mirko led Gem through the halls of UA, and luckily it was a Saturday so there weren't really any students in the halls to stare at the two. Eventually they ended up at a door with a plaque next to it, the words Principal's office written on it like gold.
"Oh! This is a school!" Gem deduced.
"Yup. UA high." Mirko clarified. "Best hero school in all of Japan. Went here myself when I was a kid." Mirko recalled with a smile.
"Hero school?- WAIT- JAPAN!?"
"uh- yeah? You are speaking pretty fluent Japanese."
"I- We'll talk about this inside." Gem declared.
*knock knock*
"Who is it?" A small, muffled voice could be heard through the door.
"Mirko! And I've got someone you'll want to meet." The rabbit hero replied.
"Come in!" The voice yelled through the door.
As Gem and Mirko walked into the acclaimed Principal's office, Gem was very confused when she was met with a giant rat- mouse- small bear?- rodent?- chimera???- Thing. In a suit drinking some tea.
"Aah, Mirko. How lovely to see you! And who is this?" The... Creature inquired, gesturing to Geminitay.
◌IT TALKS!? This is- this is amazing!! Perhaps it's a chimera?-◌
Gem was taken out of her thpughts as the creature spoke.
"My name is Nezu. And what may yours be?"
"I'm head wizard Geminitay of the Crystal Cliffs. Also the headmaster of Crystal Cliffs Academy." Gem was dying for answers, so she had to ask, "Are you a chimera of sorts?"
"..." Nezu was silent. "My, my! No one has ever realized what I am! You must be quite knowledgeable." The confirmation Nezu gave shocked Mirko. How could this girl now what he is immediately? No one knew, not even Mirko!
"Wow! Sorry I've never met a chimera before. What are you a hybrid of? A rat? Bear? Mouse? Dog? Oh there are so many possibilities!" Gem was getting very excited, "Oh! Sorry, I'm rambling aren't I? Well you can just call me Gem, like everyone!" Gem laughs awkwardly, rubbing the back of her neck.
"It is quite alright, miss Geminitay."
"Please. Just Gem is fine."
"Alright. It is perfectly fine then, Gem." Nezu assured. "Although I must ask what brings you here and what and where these places you are referring to are."
"Of course. The Crystal Cliffs is my empire, and the Crystal Cliffs Academy is my school where I teach magic. I think I'm in a different world right now, or perhaps a different time..." Gem ponders for a bit "Are there any records of the Crystal Cliffs? Or maybe some of the other empires like The Overgrown or Mezalia."
"I don't believe so, but we can check if you'd like." Nezu turned on his computer, amazing Gem.
"WOAH! What's that? Oh fWhip would love this!" Nezu and Mirko chuckle a bit at her wonder and Nezu explains to Gem what a computer is and asks if she would like to try and use it. "Can I!? Oh yes!"
Nezu opens up a web browser and lets Gem search up things from her world. Gem decides to start with her name.
