Spring thoughts - Chapter 9

Ever since the kiss the two girls were awkward. It's not like they wanted to be awkward around each other but it wasn't their fault. Love is a crazy thing and Luz didn't understand it. Nor did Amity. Luz asked Hunter questions about the way she felt but he would always just tease her. Typical brothers.

On the other hand, Emira always told Amity that she had to figure out her feelings herself. Emira could only console Amity during these times. The two were lost. Then Spring break rolled around. This was Luz's chance to spend more time with the lilac-haired girl.

Luz POV

Spring break, flowers bloom while hot temperature fights over cold. This Spring is when I have to visit my mom. I mean I have to. She'll kill me if I don't. Another thing is that I want to spend Spring with my friends... and Amity. If I wanted to figure out my feelings for her... I needed to do this. I can't deny, I miss school already even though we've just got let out yesterday. I'll see Hexside someday.

Eventually, I found myself in my dorm room lying down on my bed. I had all my stuff ready for the break, but only a few things since I already had stuff at my mom's. It was around noon but a little earlier than that. I wasn't tired... I was thinking. My dad. Shit... I need to stop thinking about him! I'm having a fun life right now and that just comes out of the blue... Although, I do miss him. I grabbed my pillow and clutched it on my chest. Hunter and Vee are so fucking lucky man. They never got to meet him... if they did then they would be too attached to him. In the end, I'm the only one obsessing over that man. God damn you Manny Noceda.

In the process of me thinking, I got a message. It was from mom. I skimmed over the message and it was her telling me I had to be at her house by three or she would get Eda to come to get me. I definitely don't want that. I quickly messaged her a thumbs-up emoji and thought for a second. I picked up my phone and slid my fingers across the buttons.

Luz-- Mamá, Is it okay if a few friends stay over with us for Spring break?

Mamá :P-- Friends? Oh my god, of course!

Luz-- It's four people if that's okay

Mamá :P-- Four friends? Of course, ask their parents first Mija! I'm so glad you're making friends.

Luz-- Thanks mom, te amo

Mamá :P: También te amo cariño

I smiled at the messages and rolled over to Will's contact. I pressed the call button and waited.

"Luz? What's up." Willow spoke. "Will's, I was wondering if you wanted to spend the Spring break at me and Hunter's house. If that's okay with you and your parents" I said waiting for the plant-based girl to respond. "Well hell yeah? My parents are on vacation Luz" she laughed. I totally forgot. "Thank god" I felt relieved. "Can Bosh come over?" Willow asked. "Sure, I was going to ask her anyway" I chuckled. Willow and I parted ways then I headed over to Gus's contact and called him. Eventually, I got Gus to agree. "Alright. Now for... Ames" I whispered. 

I got up and exited my room on my way to hers. I can admit that my palms were sweating bullets at the moment but I slapped myself out of it. Come on Lucia. I knocked on the door and waited for a few minutes. Finally, the door opened. "I told you if you came here that I would be in the shower Emir-" the Blight cut herself off when she saw me standing there starstruck. Amity had a towel wrapped around her with nothing else on. We were staring at each other while I observed every inch of her and the towel. "God damn Blight..." I whispered. All of a sudden she started getting red. Shit, did I say that out loud? "If you don't leave in the next five seconds you won't see the light of day again." when Amity said that I swore I found a new fear in myself. I nervously laughed and waited in the living room. Amity had a beautiful figure.
