~ Fangirls ~

First of all, there is absolutely nothing wrong with being a fangirl and doing what a fangirl does; fangirling.

Whether it's a book, or a movie, or a song or a celebrity.

I mean, people think that the words 'nerd' or 'geek' and 'fangirl' are synonyms.

Hell no. Nerdiness or geekiness isn't even something one should be ashamed of! I mean, like, saying that somebody is a nerd is like saying that a person would rather be thoughtful than be clueless, that a person thinks that there are stuff more important than Kylie Jenner's lip fillers.

And trust me, darling, there are stuff more important than Kylie Jenner's lip fillers.

Well maybe unless you're a Kylie Jenner fan.

I totes respect you. I mean, heck, I fangirl over Alex Pettyfer, for crying out loud!

This world pampers people who go partying themselves off, smoking their lungs out, drugging their own hearts, and they belittle those who read till their eyes wreck, those who write honest literature. And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that.

Fangirls are just living proofs that the human brain could actually escape this reality and wander off to places unimaginable, and in my opinion, that's beautiful.

To all those who think that fangirls are losers, as much as I want to say 'fuck you', I do not blame you. I mean, people have opinions and opinions have power to either hurt or inspire. If that's your opinion, then sure, this is a free world.

It's just maybe we should generate more opinions that inspire rather than opinions that hurt.

Fangirl and proud, you know? There's absolutely nothing wrong with having more books than hairpins and having more pairs of glasses than pairs of shoes. It just annoys me and sometimes, even infuriates me that whenever the word 'fangirl' pops up, the first thing that goes into the brains of people and even the Internet is, like, huge black glasses and the words 'GEEK' or 'DORK'. I mean, that's absolutely wrong. Grace, not all fangirls wear glasses! And most especially are fangirls not dorks!

It sucks that this world associates social incapability with books. That's not true. Actually, books double social capabilities. There's social capability for reality and there's social capability for the dudes in The Hunger Games.

It's just maybe there's more social capability for the dudes in The Hunger Games than the dudes in reality.

So, to all fangirls out there, don't loose even the slightest bit of confidence to some nimrod who tells you that Lindsay Lohan's arrest record matters more than you.

I mean, people could go with arrest records and sledgehammers and I could go with the Oompa-Loompas to Charlie's Chocolate Factory or something.

We, the fangirls, are basically the ones who swoon more for Augustus Waters than for Justin Bieber. Just don't obsess. Swoon, but don't obsess.

I know and understand and respect that not everyone in this earth gush over Harry Potter and that of the alike, and there's nothing wrong with that, either. I mean, I hate to admit it, but I actually did google Kylie Jenner's lip fillers.

So this rant is for the fangirls out there, be confident with yourself. There's nothing wrong with loving Tobias Eaton more than Tom Cruise. It's just absolutely disheartening that we have fallen hard for fictional, non-existent characters.
