Chapter 11: Bitten!

Jace POV:
I'm very glad to see my son and niece and friend again after all those years. I've been wanting to come back to them after I found the place but I was afraid that I was going to get rejected by them. But I wasn't and I'm glad. Today we are going out in the woods to see if we can find any survivors or anything we need and go hunting.

Jace, Tycho, Jill, and Jax went into the woods and it was a peaceful day
"Mom can I ask you something?" Tycho asked Jace
"Yes?" Jace replied back
"W-what do I do if you get bit?"
"Oh.. well this will be hard but you would have to shoot me. You don't want me to suffer from the pain at all. But I will never get bit ever. You don't have to worry about that."
"Thanks mom."
"Your welcome."
"Alright Tycho, we are going to teach you how to hunt and shoot." Jax said
"Alright, what do I need to do?"
Jax gives Tycho the gun
"You just aim for the head. And close your one eye and don't fully pull the trigger. Look at the tree for example. Pretend it's a walker."
Tycho then aims at the tree and shoots the tree for practice
"That's good, Tycho!" Jace said
"Thanks! Wow.. that's cool." Tycho said
"The more practice. The more you are good at it." Jill said
"Alright, y'all guys check the garden and I will check the stables." Jace said
"Alright." Jax said
They each parted ways

Jace goes to the cows stable and gets milk and then comes out with a bucket of milk
Suddenly
"HELLLLLLLPPPP!" Tycho screamed out loud and Jace immediately rushed to the scene and there's 5 walkers
"No! Stop!!" Jill said and she shoots the Walker
And the other one
"Wait.. why does that one look familiar??" Jax asked
It was a zombified version of Pascal. He had a light grey blue skin and his eyes were half white and blue and his clothes were torn and in blood
Jace and Tycho were in shock
"P-P-Pascal?!" Jace said
The zombie Pascal looked at them
"J...Jace..... Tycho..."
Jace gasped in shock
"Dad!?" Tycho is in shock
Jace goes up to the zombie Pascal
"Aunt Jace what the hell are you doing?!" Jill asked
"Look.. im sure he wouldn't even do anything look.. if there was a cure for zombism, I would do anything to not let him be a zombie.. Pascal.. god it's been 8 years.. I've missed you.."
Pascal then looked at Jace and immediately hugged them
Both Jill, Jax and Tycho awed kinda but were scared what's to happen
"Aww see? He still loves me and wouldn't-."
All of a sudden Pascal bits Jace in the arm and Jace screams
"NO!" Tycho said
Jill and Tycho covered their eyes except for Jax who knew what was happening
All of a sudden a gunshot in the heard in the distance and Pascal collapse to the ground, ending his zombie life
"JACE ARE YOU OKAY?!" Millie yelled out asking.
"Yeah.. I'm okay!" Jace said
"Mom are you okay?!"
"Yes.."
"Alright well let's get these fruits and veggies ready for dinner." Jill said
Jill and Tycho leave to the place and since Jax and Jace were alone, Jax looked at Jace in terror
"Did you...?"
"Let's see.."
Jace uncovered the injury which is revealed to be a bite mark where Pascal bit into their arm
"Jace... oh my god.." Jax said in shock
"Yeah.. we need to hid this from Tycho.. I don't want him to see me like this.."
"Jace how long you think it'll be before you.. turn?"
"Few days? I don't know.." Jace said in tears
Jace then looked at Pascals lifeless body and they hugged him
"Hun... please... I'm.. sorry.. I love you.. but I need to move on.. but I will see you quite soon again.." Jace said and looks around to properly bury him
Jace grabs a shovel and digs a hole in the ground and puts Pascals body on it and covered it up with dirt and Jax gives Jace a flower
Jace puts the flower on the ground
"Man this is very hard.. thanks for being here for me." Jace said
"Your welcome, hun."

Jace POV:
That's right. Me and Jax are lovers. We began to develop crushes for each other a few days after she came back and I'm glad to have someone like her but, I'm just distraught on seeing Pascal as a Walker. Even worse, I got bit. I don't know how I would tell this to Tycho.

Jace and Jax head back to the place and Jace prepares dinner
Jax walks in
"Have you told anyone?"
"Yeah.. I told everyone including Jill.. she was sadden and I told everyone to not tell Tycho. In fact tomorrow I'm taking him to fish and spend time before shit goes down."
"So when Tycho asked today, are you really.. going to let him shoot you?"
"I really hope not.. I don't want too but if it has too.. then I will.." Jace sighs
"Dinners Ready!" Jace yelled out
Jace then passes the food and Jax sighs in sadness

Later in the bedroom
Tycho and Jill already are sleep
Jace and Jax are in a bed together and Jace sighs sadly
"I wish I didn't have to go through this.. it doesn't hurt really but yeah.. I just wish I was more careful.."
"Well.. sometimes things can go dark.. but I'll be here for you.."
"Thanks hun.."
They both hug and kiss and gets under the covers and Jax spoons Jace and Jace softly cries and Jax is worried
