Sasha's POV
When I woke up, I wasn't at the hospital anymore. I was in a bed that looked familiar, but it definitely wasn't mine. I sat up and stretched my arms, looking around. It looked a bit like Connor's room but I couldn't exactly tell because it was so dark.
I removed the covers from my body and stood up, my legs popping a bit. I walked out the door and looked down the stairs, only to hear the living room tv to be on. "Hello?" I called down the stairs. No one answered.
I sighed before starting to walk down the stairs, not caring who was down there. Had it been a murder, I probably would've just ripped his head off to get out some of my frustration. Just saying.
I walked into the living room, and smiled a bit at what I found. Ricky was nearly asleep on the couch, his eyes fluttering shut. I may be upset with him, but he's still adorable.
I chuckled lightly before going to switch off the tv. He heard the sound of my movement and his eyes slowly opened. "Sasha?" He mumbled. "Yeah, it's me." I smiled. He made grabby hands for me and, despite my better judgement, I went over and sat down beside him. He instinctively laid his head in my lap, like he always used to.
"What are you doing here? How did I get here?" I asked. "Drove you here and carried you to bed, hope you don't mind. Then I went back to the hospital and came back late. They said Con will be home tomorrow." He mumbled quickly. I looked over at the clock and saw that it was 4:00 in the morning. Woah..
I nodded slowly. He looked up at me and paused for a moment before he spoke again.
"Mm sorry, Sasha. I shouldn't have yelled at you. I miss you." He said quietly. "It's okay. Let's just forget about it for now. Get some sleep." I sighed, slowly running my fingers through his hair. I used to always do this to help him sleep. He nodded before relaxing his body and closing his eyes.
I missed him too. I missed this. I missed our fun talks that used to last for hours. I miss playing around with him. I miss my Ricky...
The Next Morning
I slowly felt my eyelids flutter open. "I must've fell asleep again." I muttered myself. "You did." I heard someone say, turning my head in the direction of the voice. It was Ricky.
"Come eat." He said, sounding slightly annoyed. A confused expression took over my face, but I got up anyway and walked into the kitchen. "Are you okay?" I asked, sitting down on the counter. "I'm fine." He said quickly. "You don't seem like it." I pushed. "Look, I said I'm fine. Now drop it." He snapped.
This isn't the Ricky I missed. This wasn't the Ricky from last night. Why has he been so moody lately? Oh yeah, probably because seeing me pisses him off cause he can't "have me". No, you know what? Not even going to think about it.
I sighed before hopping off the counter and grabbing a plate of food. I sat down and ate in silence.
Once I was done, I thanked him and went to wash out my dish. "You're welcome, and don't worry about it. I've got it." He said walking over to me. "I'm perfectly capable of doing it myself, Ricky." I laughed. "Never said you weren't." He sighed before siting back down.
I dropped the plate in the sink and turned around, looking at him. "Okay, what the hell is wrong with you?" I groaned. "You wouldn't be in a great mood if you were in love with your best friend and they didn't love you back, now would you?" He said, squinting his eyes at me.
"I knew that's what this was about.." I sighed. "Well what the hell else would it be about?" He scoffed, his volume raising. "What happened to last night! You were perfectly fine with being around me then!" I said quickly, my volume raising as well.
"Sasha, I woke up and the first thing I saw was you. Do you understand how much it hurt to know I would never get to do that on a regular basis? To know that I wouldn't be able to give you a good morning kiss like I wanted?" He said, anger filling in his eyes.
"I'm sorry, Ricky! How many times to I have to say it? I'm sorry!" I said, fighting back tears. Not this time.
"Sorry isn't good enough. I wish it was, but it's not." He sighed, ruffing his hair. "How can we fix this? How can we get back to it being us?" I said after a while of thinking.
"I don't think we can get it back to what we were. Even if we were friends again, it would hurt entirely way to much. I couldn't take seeing you with him everyday, I'm sorry." He spoke quickly.
"Why can't you just be happy for me?!" I nearly yelled, anger hitting my like an 18 wheeler. "I'm trying! I've tried since day one to be happy for you! Don't you think I fucking tried?!" He yelled back.
"It just really sucks because you won't give me a chance because you're too far stuck up his ass!" He continued. I gasped, feeling extremely hurt.
His eyes softened and an apologetic expression took over his face. "Sasha, I-I didn't mean it. I'm sorry." He said quickly. "I can't believe you just said that." I said, mostly to myself, as I started walking past him.
"Hey, don't leave. I said I'm s-" he started, grabbing my arm, but I cut him off. "Sorry isn't good enough. I wish it was, but it's not." I spit his words back at him, ripping my arm away from him, before quickly running out the door.
