You had just picked up your daughter Ariel from school. You were in the car and Ariel asked, "mommy do I have to go to school?". "Yes you do princess, is someone bothering you at school?" You asked. "No" she said with a shaky voice, "when we get home we'll talk to ma alright?" you told your six year old. She nodded.

"Baby, this is obviously bothering her" you said to your wife. She kissed your lips softly. You placed your hands on her hips pulling her closer to you. "Then we'll talk with her when she wakes up from her nap" she said. You nodded before kissing her lips and trying to put your hands in her jeans. "Slow down there tiger, you gotta wait 'till tonight" she said causing you to groan. You heard a faint cry come from upstairs. Normani and you rushed upstairs to retrieve your daughter. When you reached her room she was sitting on her bed crying. Normani lifted her off her bed and into her lap.
"Ariel what's wrong princess?" She asked as Adriel's rested her head on her chest.
"No one likes me" she sobbed.
"Baby that's not true" you disagreed.
"Yes it is, I hate being different. No one talks to me at school and they make fun of me" she said wiping the tears from her eyes.
"What do they say?" You asked getting concerned.
"They say I'm ugly because of my skin but it's not my fault I'm ugly!" She cried.
"Ariel what do you want to be when you grow up?" You asked.
"A singer"
"Well ma is a singer and her skin color isn't stopping her. You look just like your mom and she's black and beautiful" you said causing your daughter to smile.
"Feel better?" Normani asked.
"Yes!" Ariel shouted.
You both kissed her cheeks which resulted in a group hug. She then jumped off on Normani's lap. "I'm hungry!" She shouted before running downstairs. You and your wife laughed following her downstairs.
