Pausing my Netflix show, I got up to answer the unexpected knock at the door. Opening the door, my heart stopped momentarily, seeing my ex standing there. "Lauren? The hell are you doing here?" I asked. She laughed, nearly tipping over. "I came to see you, silly," she slurred. "Are you drunk?" I asked. "You call it drunk, I call it liquidly elevated," she giggled. She tumbled over, falling into my hands.

Standing her upright, she frowned. "You gonna leave me out in the cold?" She asked. Rolling my eyes, I helped her inside. She tumbled down onto the couch, looking up and me a giggling mess. "Y/N you know, you never changed........you're still a loser.......who watches Netflix on a Saturday night?" she mumbled. "How did you get here?" I asked. "Uber," she said.

I shook my head. I've seen Lauren drunk a thousand times and I was sure after we broke up id never be the one she's drunk text......or drunk show up at my house. "Ugh my feet are aching.....would you be a doll?" She said, lifting up her leg. I groaned, trying to take off her heels. Catching sight of up her dress, I gasped. "Lauren, why the hell aren't you wearing underwear?" I asked, sounding slightly upset. She bit her finger, laughing flirtatiously. "Like what you see?" She teased. "All I see is my crazy drunk ex free vaging on my couch," I exclaimed.

Somehow I offended her. "Fine then...I'm fucking outta here," she frowned. Shoving past me, she stumbled over to the door. She was my ex but I still cared about her well being and safety. "You can barely walk, you're not going anywhere," I said. "You're not my girlfriend and you're definitely not my boyfriend.......ill tell him you tried to fuck me," she threatened. "I didn't ask you to come here, if your man cared so much then where is he?" I asked.

She stared at me, her eyes starting to water. "I don't know okay? I-I was s-so scared and alone and I-I didn't know who else t--" she trembled, bursting into tears. Being my kind-hearted self, I walked over, pulling her into a comforting hug. Lifting her up, I carried her around in my arms like I used to. "Y-You're so strong," she sniffled.

Her stomach rumbled. I carried her into the kitchen, sitting her on the counter. "Okay, your options are some leftovers, yogurt, a half eaten chocolate bar, ice crea--" I listed. "Ice cream, please!" She exclaimed. Grabbing the entire tub, I took a spoon from the drawer hand her both. She excitedly popped off the cover to the ice cream tub, scooping a spoonful into her mouth. I laughed, remembering how she'd beg me to get ice cream almost every day.

"C'mere," she said. I walked over, opening my mouth as she scooped ice cream onto the spoon. Instead of getting a mouthful on strawberry goodness, I felt the softest pair of lips and a mouthful of tongue. As the ice cream dripped onto the countertop, she pulled me closer to deepen the kiss. She pulled away frantically. "Y/N, I want you to know....I did a lot of stupid thing in the past.......and you're s-s-s--" she stuttered. "Stupid?" I smiled. She pushed me away before projectile vomiting on my kitchen floor.

"I'm sorry, It just came up," she shivered, teary-eyed. "Don't cry it's okay, Laur," I said. I sent her to shower and brush up in the downstairs bathroom. After cleaning up her mess, I showered in the upstairs bathroom. Beforehand I'd left out some of my pajamas for her to put on.

After my shower I found her asleep in my bed. I covered her properly, getting in next to her. I tried to not reminisce too much because I knew that tomorrow, when she was nice and sober, she'd go back to her boyfriend. She and I did love each other but our relationship quickly became toxic. She wanted things I couldn't give her, I expected too much from her as well. She dreamed of being apart of the city the never slept. The party life is what she wanted. She couldn't get that with a  person like me. She just wasn't the one.
