I was on a fancy night out. Y/N took me to the finest restaurant that was affordable. Y/N was indeed very angry with me. For the past nights Y/N hasn't been the same. At the table for two we were sat. I looked across the table into those eyes I'd fallen in love with. They belonged to a soul known for divine comfort and trust. Y/N looked at me out of hatred, wanting to tear me to pieces.
"Y/N, please talk to me. Staring at me like I'm the devil won't help the situation," I said. With a slight squint, Y/N spoke the same hateful words in the same hateful tone. "You said you loved me, then you sit here and tell me you're leaving me. I've hated you since I first laid eyes on you," she spat. Another slap in the face and hit to the heart. "I-I'm not leaving you. I just know we need a break from each other. This commitment is changing the both of us into the people we promised we wouldn't become. You're not the same person I fell in love with when this first started, you're not respecting my decision," I said, tears at the brim of my eyes. She spat in face, angrier than before. "Bullshit, you never cared about me. Was the sex not great? Do you want a better house? I-I tried to love you and give you the best of me, but I can't anymore," Y/N said, with tears rolling down their face.
I didn't know what to say, so I stood up to leave. Y/N grabbed my arm, begging me not to leave. Caving, I sat back down. "I-It's never been a-about the sex or what you've bought me. I was committed because I love you, and hearing you accuse me of using you breaks my heart even more," I replied, looking at the table. "Camila, I'm sorry, ok? I get carried away thinking you'll just leave one night and be gone forever," Y/N said, wiping away tears. "You'll always mean the world to me, ok? I need this break...this is all too much for me right now. I know it hurts but, I've been hurting for too long. This isn't goodbye, so I'll say see you around," I said, leaving Y/N at the table.
The restaurant doors lead me home. Home to the four women I'd loved unconditionally. As I entered the room, everyone sat still. Heads bowed, heavy hearts, and laps stained with tears. "I-I'm sorry...I didn't want to hurt any of you," I said. Dinah stood up, looking me straight in the eyes. "Explanations won't make this hurt less. You're always gonna be important to me," she said. Our final hug was warm and forgiving. She sat down in her spot, completely becoming numb to my existence. Followed suit by Ally and Normani, each with their own words of of forgiveness and encouragement. Soon enough also becoming numb to my existence.
Lauren refused to acknowledge me. "L-Lauren," I stuttered. I didn't know what else to say. She lifted her head, not a single tear had fallen. "This shouldn't be a sappy moment, you should be happy to live your life in the way you want. Whether it's with us or not, still be happy," she said. She stood in front of me, offering a hug. I accepted, squeezing her body like I didn't want to let go.
It went from a hug to a few kisses. "You're stalling, you know it's time to leave," she said. I pouted, holding onto her. "Can I visit?" I asked, resting my head on her chest. "Anytime, just make sure you're content and stable with life when you get out there," she smiled. I sighed, knowing I couldn't loiter around. I'd made the decision that was best for me and my well being.
Tears fell from my eyes, wetting the brim of Lauren's shirt. "Do you wanna spend the night?" She asked. I nodded, playful kissing her neck. "Camila, stop that feels weird," she laughed. We fell back onto the couch, becoming intact with the world again. They knew me, they knew of me...again.
