My sister was coming home from traveling with her bandmates and I knew it wouldn't be pleasant. When she arrived I'd just woken up from my usual afternoon nap. I slipped on my spongebob socks, staring at my ankle monitor. I knew Lauren would be pissed at me for getting caught up in the law. I would've had to face her regardless.
Groggily walking from my room, the faint voices became louder as I neared the living room. Peeking around the corner, I caught glimpse of my sister, parents, and some dreaded man. Lauren gasped seeing me, calling out my name excitedly. "Y/N, oh my god. I missed you," she exclaimed running over to me. "Hey Laur," I replied, quickly engulfing her into a hug. She squeezed me tight, whispering in my ear that she'd really missed me.
"Oh you've grown so much," she smiled, pulling away from our hug. "Girl you've been gone for a few months, I haven't changed at all," I replied. She laughed, her happiness quickly washed away by a loud beep. Looking down at my monitor, she breathed heavily. Tucking hair behind her ear she, looked up at me, taking a deep breath. She grabbed my face firmly. "I-I don't even wanna get into this right now. You promised me that you'd--never mind," she said.
She brought me over to the couch, introducing me to her boyfriend Ty. He was a cool guy, very respectful. I could feel Lauren's eyes on my ankle the entire time. Later on after dinner, I went out back to relax. As I sat on my phone I felt a light tap on my shoulder. I looked behind me, locking eyes with my sister. "Time to talk," she said harshly.
I sighed, standing up to face her. "I leave for a few months and you're on house arrest? The fuck is wrong with you?" She snapped. "I fucked up okay? I get I shouldn't have done it but it's over and done with," I replied. "You're stupid as shit, it's not over. You're on house arrest!" She argued. I walked past her, my arm being grabbed roughly. "This conversation isn't over," she said. "I think it is," I replied, snatching my arm away. "You're a mess Y/N Jauregui! A fucking mess," she yelled after me.
