I was relaxing and watching Netflix on my laptop when I unexpectedly got a call from my girlfriend. She was currently on tour with her bandmates and we hadn't seen each other in a few weeks. I paused my show, answering  the phone call.

"Hey.....baby," she said, breathing heavily into the phone. "Hey sweetheart, did you just wake up?" I asked. She waited a few seconds to respond. "Mmm no, I've been up for a while. I m-missed your voice so I called," she replied. I blushed, biting my lip to suppress my smile. "So, what are you up to. Wanna FaceTime?" I asked. "N-No, no I just want you to talk," she said.

I laughed at her frantic response. "Yeah, just like that," she mumbled. "What?" I said. She moaned lightly, her breathing becoming louder. "Nothing baby, I-I'm just—it's nothing," she replied. "Alright then weirdo. I seriously wanna see your face," I said. "Baby? I can't FaceTime right now, I just can't. Please don't be mad but I c-can't," she said. "But why? Why're you acting like you don't wanna see me?" I asked. She sighed, moaning again. "What the hell are you doing? A-Are you with someone else?" I asked, getting heated.

She moaned loudly, her voice shaky afterwards. "N-No I would never. I'm j-just not in the mood b-babe. I just wanna hear you talk to me," she answered. "Dinah seriously, what the hell are you doing?" I asked. She screamed out, moaning louder than before. "I-I love you, p-please don't stop," she yelled.

My heart dropped. Without saying another word I hung up. "S-She fucking called me w-while--," I stuttered. My breathing picked up its pace, my heart racing. I frantically opened my drawer, searching for my inhaler. I couldn't find it. Trying my best to scream out for help, my knees weakened as I ran to my bedroom door. Grabbing onto the railing of the stairs I slipped, tumbling down the stairs. The bottom stair was the last thing I saw before hitting my head.
