    Chapter 14

I was sore the rest of the day from not only my classes but also my training classes. It was a relief when I had to sit in Dimitri’s class. I was there before Dimitri so I slumped down in my seat and put my head on the cold hard desk. The cold was welcomed and I found myself going into a sleep. I was about ready to go into a dream when Dimitri started to shake me.

“You okay there?” He asked as my vision unblurred.

“Huh? Oh, yeah. It’s just been a long day that’s all.” I sat up and woke up to pay attention.

He looked at me like he was studying me. “How much sleep did you get last night?”

Woah didn’t expect that. “Um…I don’t know about five hours. Why?”

“You shoud try to get more.”

“Yeah I figured that. I thought I could run on that much. But with the way I have classes that isn’t going to be an option anymore.”

“You went to school with very little sleep?”

“Yeah.”

“Well can you wake up long enough to pay attention?” I nodded and proped myself up to look at the board. Today it was more on the different gaurding techniques. I had already read most of what he was saying. I found myself tuning his lecture out. And really when ever I did that it felt like I was asleep. I paid attention when he started to tell me the homework. I left the minute the bell rang. I got in the lunch line and got my food and went back to the table to see Christan already there.

"So how was your morning?" he asked.

"Not to bad."

"Liar."

"What do you mean 'lair'?" I glared.

"Okay, okay. Don't get worked up. I saw you at your morning practices and in you classes. You where getting you ass kicked."

"Hey I was not. I won a few of those fights."

"Yeah right. Any way what happened last night to make you so tired?"

"Nothing. I just couldn't sleep and I thought that my body could run on five hours of sleep like it used to."

"And your conclusion?" he asked a smirk on his face already knowing the answer.

"I can't I need more energy for this school then the human one I was at."

"Is that all?" I nodded. "Come on you can tell me. Besides you being tired is making you a bad liar."

I rolled my eyes, "Okay well I talked to my old friends on a web cam this morning. and then i talked to some on the phone before I finished my homework. There, happy?"

"Yes very. And don't worry your secret is safe with me." I rolled my eyes. His eyes suddenly focused on something behind me. I turned around ready if someone was going to give us a hard time. I scanned the room and saw that Damek was coming to our table. "Well, well. For someone who was an outsider you sure seem to be a magnet for populars."

"Yeah that's always happened."

"What did he do to you?"

"What makes you think he did something to me?"
