I woke up in her arms. I smiled to myself, knowing that it wasn't a dream. It still was weird to see her. Especially since she looked so different. It took me some time to get used to her hair being down. I didn't want to wake her up, but I had so many questions. I decided to let her sleep for a few more minutes before I woke her up. It had been so long since I'd seen her blue eyes. I smiled at her. "Good morning. What time is it? I need to know if it's too early," she told me. I checked my phone. "Uhm- it's uh- six.... Am," I told her. She sighed. "As long as it's not before four I'm fine," she said with a laugh. "Yes, but now that I know what time it is I'm sleeping," I told her. "No no. That's not how this works. You can't just wake me up so you can go back to sleep," she said. I laid against her and closed my eyes. "No," she pushed me away playfully. "Then go back to sleep!" I whined. She shook her head. "Go to sleep or I put you sleep!" I said annoyed. She gave me her principal look. The one that makes her a hundred times scarier. I smiled nervously and sat up. "Please...?" I said hoping that would work. She sighed and smiled at me. "I missed you," she said, looking into my eyes. I leaned against her. "Imagine how I felt," I muttered. "I thought you were dead,". "And I had to make you believe I was dead and watch you suffer. Now tell me which you think was worse?" She smirked. "I think you are worse. You're mean, annoying, and deceiving," I pointed out. Her smirk faded and she rolled her eyes. "I find that offensive you know," "And I find you annoying," I replied. "Yeah no," she shoved me off her and stood up. "Lay back down!" I whined. "Too late. I'm going out," she said. "Where? Won't people notice?" I asked. "Yes. People will notice if the new botanical teacher is missing," she said as if it were obvious. "She's missing?!" I asked. "Did you ever wonder how she knew so much about the school?" She asked, shapeshifting into the teacher. "Wait- you're Ms. Hollis?!" I asked. "Wow. Did you not get any of the clues?!" She turned towards the door. "Oh. Yeah. No I didn't get any of that until now. Well crap. Yeah, I better head back to school as well," I smiled evilly. "Oh god. What did you do?" She asked. "Race ya!" I shoved her aside and ran out the door. "Y/N! Don't you dare! I am in heels!" She shouted. I ignored her and continued running. By the time I got to the classroom she was already there. "H-how?" I asked. "Why we're you running in the hallways? Never mind- just sit down," she said. I rolled my eyes and sat in the back of the class. "No. You'll be moving up here next to me. Where I can keep an eye on you. I was told you snuck out last night," some of the other kids laughed while a glared at her. She stood in front of the desk that I sat down in. "Fuck you," I whispered. Quiet enough to where no one else heard it, but loud enough to where she did. I'd never seen her so angry. Not even with Marylin. "Wait. In. The. Hallway," she said in a cold tone. I glared at her as I walked out. "Now, everyone continue the worksheets I gave y'all yesterday. I'm going to be right back," she smiled at the class and followed me. "What the hell we're you thinking?" She asked, clearly angry. "Oh whatever. 1. You clearly cheated. 2. I always sit in the back of the class!" Me talking back to her was the last straw apparently. "If you ever- and I mean ever- disrespect me again I will make sure you regret it, trust me," I immediately fell silent. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have a class to teach," she turned towards the door. "Larissa?" I asked. She turned towards me confused. "Larissa? Y/N, I'm sorry, I know your dreams tend to get out of hand, but she's dead," she opened the door and left. Suddenly, Mrs. Hollis came down the hall. "What..?" I asked confused. "I can't believe you! You just left me there really?!" She asked annoyed. "Larissa?" I asked. She gave me a warning look. "But weren't you just-" I was confused. Like- really confused. Larissa walked into the classroom. I followed close behind. They looked identical. "I thought you were dead?" Mrs. Hollis's voice was different. Almost like- oh my god. "How. You should be in jail," Larissa said. "Kids. Leave the classroom," the both said at the same time. Everyone rushed out, confused and a bit scared. Just like me. "How did you get those powers?" Larissa asked. "Simple. All I needed was a little bit of your blood. Then I used a bunch of chemistry and bam," she smiled. Larissa shape-shifted back into herself. "How did you know?" She asked. "I won't be fooled by you again," Mrs. Hollis said, shapeshifting back into her true form. Marylin Thornhill- or should I say Laurel Gates.
