It was early evening by the time you started to see signs of life around the base again, clearly Captain Price had just about wrapped up with his mission briefing and had dismissed the squad.

Up until now you'd been trying to keep yourself busy by cleaning the infirmary and filling out paperwork when you heard a soft knock on the door, you tore your gaze away from an email that had just come through to saw an all too familiar gigantic figure awkwardly staring at you. It seemed König had taken up your offer and come to get a checkup after his sparring match with Ghost. You noted immediately that he'd put his hood back on and instantly found yourself missing his face.

You gestured immediately to the gurney and without needing any further instruction, König sat down stiffly onto it.

"All go well with the briefing?"
You ask simply as you gently ease König out of his shirt, involuntarily marvelling at every ripple in his muscles as you finally worked his clothing away from his torso.

König nodes his head in response to your question, his voice exceptionally quiet in comparison to how it was just a few hours earlier after catching you watching him spar with Lieutenant Ghost.

"I-I can't say much, but yes, it went well I suppose."

The large soldier sat patiently on the bed as you grabbed your desk chair and wheeled yourself back over to him. You eyed his wrist in suspicion, remembering the awkward angle that Ghost had bent it during the sparring match.

"Both hands out in front of you, please."

König was confused at first but did as he's told and placed both of his hands on his knees.
You could see swelling on the wrist that Ghost flipped him over with and the skin on both of Königs hands was scuffed and grazed around the knuckles.

"You really don't pull any punches, do you?" You muttered under your breath as you took one of his hands into your own. It was like holding a grizzly bears paw compared to how tiny your own hands were.

You gently felt around your huge patients wrist, probing for fractures, Königs fingers twitched slightly when you pressed on a tender spot but other than that he remained silent.
You laid his hand on your own knee as you leaned to one side and grabbed a small roll of bandages. You could feel Königs palm sweating against your leg and your soul made an "aww!" sound at just how adorable and nervous this man was.

"Good news is it's not fractured, I think the weight of Ghosts fat ass just sprained it."

You grinned as König huffed in amusement, his fingers twitching as you lifted his hand up into your own again and begin to bandage his wrist.
After a few moments his hand was suitably stabilised and you gave him the go ahead to take his hand back though at first he didn't seem like he wanted to.

Königs hand lingered on your own for the slightest of moments before he blinked himself out of his daydream and lifted his wrist up to observe your handiwork, wiggling his fingers to test the comfort.

König tilted his head slightly to one side and you could tell by the narrowing of his eyes that he was smiling, "Thank you, Doctor Dove."

You grinned, "Just Dove is fine, König, I've told you before there's really no need for formalities. We're friends, right?"
You swore you heard a faint chuckle leave Königs mouth as he clasped his hands together and fidgeted awkwardly.

You pulled yourself away from simply observing the huge man's anxious tendencies and focused on actually being the doctor that he needed you to be. Though seeing him in all of his shirtless glory made the task extremely difficult.
