You near sprinted down the hill, trying desperately not to fall in the thick snow as you followed the sounds of gunshots and shouting. Evidently the mission hadn't gone to plan and you'd taken it upon yourself to at least make sure the men got out relatively unscathed.

You kept expecting to hear the unmistakable crack of Königs rifle firing at his target but it never happened, which even with everything going on right there and then, made you worry for your companions safety.

Eventually you reached the base, your feet carrying you so fast that you practically ran into the side of one of the buildings, your back pressed against the icy cold wall as you peered around the corner to survey your surroundings and assess the danger.
Call it lucky, but the hostiles didn't seem to be in your immediate area, allowing you to step out of cover and inspect the nearby area. Eventually you came across a smeared splash of blood in the snow and tracks that evidently showed someone has been dragged into a dilapidated old store room nearby.

Armed with nothing other than your backpack of medical supplies, you quickly and quietly approached the run down little building, your hand pausing just before you grabbed the handle.

The moment you stepped over the storeroom threshold you heard the unmistakable sound of safety being taken off of a weapon. Your eyes scanned the darkened room, eventually falling on a figure laid in the corner who had an assault rifle pointed directly at you.

"Roach...?" Your voice was gentle and steady as you raised both hands up in a submissive gesture.

The dark figure seemed to falter slightly upon hearing you speak, shuffling into the light of a nearby window slightly. You felt a rush of relief when your suspicions were confirmed, the figure was Roach.

"D-dove? What're you doing here!?"

You ran to Roach, pulling him into a relieved hug. The soldier chuckled quietly, pushing his face covering up and off his head so he could see you unhindered. He returned your tight hug before pushing you away to look at you, worry and pain was etched across his youthful face.

"Am I glad to see you, doc...but for real, why are you down here!? Where's König?" Roach almost whisper shouted at you, his hands giving you a quick shake.

"Königs back up on the hill, I couldn't just sit there when I heard you'd been hit."
You explained, laying out a variety of supplies by your side as your eyes swiftly wandered over Roach's body, checking for injury. Eventually they came to rest on the young soldiers leg, his thigh was bleeding steadily from what looked to be a rather sizeable bullet hole.

"Can you move it at all?"
You asked quietly as you gently cut away at the fabric surrounding the wound, trying to ignore how Roach bit back a groan when you peeled away some dried material which had stuck to the injury.

"Like hell. It was the Lieutenant that dragged me into here so I wouldn't be seen by anyone."

"Ghost?" You sounded surprised.

"Of course! He practically threw me in here and said he'd be back to get me once the job was done...here i am!" Roach grinned. Even in these conditions the soldiers almost childlike quirks made you laugh.

"You really admire him, hm? I've not spoken much to him, honestly...he doesn't seem interested in talking to me." You smiled gently as you grabbed a small pack of disinfectant, tearing the corner of it open with your teeth.

"Uhm, of course I admire him. He's the coolest guy in the whole milit-AGH!" Roach curled into himself, grasping at his thigh as you doused it in the antiseptic solution. You gave him an apologetic pat on his shoulder as you waited patiently for the soldier to gather his senses again.
Eventually Roach leaned back against the wall and stared at you sulkily.
