0500 hours. Time to get up

You'd been awake and staring at your clock long before the alarm told you it was time to get sorted. Today was the day of the mission and you'd have been lying if you said you weren't nervous.

You quickly got out of bed, haphazardly putting your basic gear on while you brushed your teeth. You'd not seen König since spending time with him in his room and if you were being honest with yourself, you'd not stopped thinking about him. The ripple of his muscles under your fingers, his melodious laugh...you'd committed every ounce of him to your memory.

Soap had come to see you on your way for a successful mission, catching you the minute you stepped out of your dormitory.
"Excited?" He grinned, making sure your gear was buckled up and secure.
"Nervous." You replied, smiling back as the Scotsman placed a helmet on top of your head and slapped the top of it playfully.

"You'll be fine, doc. Stay on Königs six and let him do his thing, you'll all be home before you know it."

"Yeah, I suppose so. Thanks, Sergeant." You grinned, following the man outside and across a dead space of land where the helicopter was waiting to drop you and the team off at the mission. You could already make out the distinct shape of Ghost, Horangi and Roach, the three men conversing with one another while they waited for you...and apparently König too, who wasn't anywhere to be seen.

"Good morning, guys. Ready to do this?" You asked in your most cheery voice, hoping they didn't hear how nervous you actually were.

"Born ready!" Roach beamed.

"Always." Horangi nodded his head, his tone a little more reserved than usual but still warm to you.

"Mhm." Ghost simply grunted, his pale blue eyes scanning over your face briefly before looking back towards the base. You followed his line of sight, noticing he seemed to be looking at the same door I exited from.

"Where's König?" You asked the question before you had time to check your tone and your obvious level of excitement caused Ghosts gaze to snap back over to you, his eyes narrowing slightly.

"On his way." Ghost grumbled, again breaking eye contact with you to stare off into the distance. A sudden weight bared down on your shoulder and you turned to see it was Horangi leaning on you, the Korean soldier dismissed Ghost's grouchy mood and chuckled from behind his own face covering.

"The day König shows up before the rest of us will be a miracle. The man is always last on the heli."

You couldn't help but grin at Horangi's words, almost imagining König running around frantically in his room to get ready in a panicked rush. The majority of times you'd seen him you'd picked up on little things that further solidified this theory, the most consistent thing being Königs inability to threat his belt through all of the loops on his pants. There was always one loop he missed...not that you'd been staring at his pants for extended periods of time or anything.

It was no sooner that you wondered when exactly König was that you spotted an unmistakable silhouette approaching the heli through gently falling snow. König was kitted out in a full tactical gear and he had a large sniper rifle slung over his back. You couldn't help but feel disappointed seeing his face, or lack thereof, hidden away by his sniper hood. You'd never seen him full kitted out in his mission gear before and he looked...intimidating.

"Good morning!" You give your most cheery voice as the mountain of a man walks straight by you.
König shot you a quick glance, giving you a simple nod to say good morning before boarding the heli with Horangi, the rest of the group quickly got on board shortly after. Apparently he wasn't in the mood for pleasantries.
