"I have an idea. To get both of us home... but it's dangerous and requires us finding an end portal that isn't destroyed." I spoke softly and had a hint of excitement for this new adventure.

Steve's POV

Collin looks intrigued, yet still really upset. He let out a quiet sigh and signalled for me to continue.

"Well... there's a rumour going around, around the trapped.... that there's a world where there is only one single portal that isn't destroyed. And when that world is located, if you can kill the dragon... everyone trapped here will be freed." I finished looking away with a quiet sigh. Collin looked hopeful yet broken. This must be a lot to take in, especially for a new player who doesn't have an idea on how to transfer worlds yet. I gently pat his head with another sigh and fake a smile on my face.

"You really mean there's a chance to go back home?" He asked softly, clearly trying to not become hopeful. I nod my head slowly in response, though I knew we might never find each other again in Earth.

"Are you sure? How- could it be this world!?" He sounded so excited, he really didn't want to be hopeful, but he was being hopeful. And it was honestly a little cute.

"There's no telling if it is or isn't-... but how many times have you tried to get to the end?" My voice had a hint of curiosity. I knew that if he really had gone to numerous strongholds and all of them are broken, that this may be the world. And that brought hope even in me.

"A few, around thirty nine times so far. All going west." He replied recalling all of his adventures. I nod slowly thinking about the rumour. It's also rumoured that the world's special stronghold is always north so it might be a good idea to go that way.

"Well then we should get going soon huh." I mention pointing towards the door again. He nodded smiling though behind his smile was pain he was hiding.

Collin's POV

I smiled softly to Steve, he was someone special to me. I'm decent at fighting and protecting myself, so I think we really can get to the end and kill the dragon. I glanced at the door he pointed to and smiled. Though the smile was fake, I was glad he also wanted to help not only me but also himself. I stood up from my chair taking the last bite out of my mutton before walking towards the door.

"Well then, what are we waiting for? We should get a move on now." I grab the handle of the door while talking. I can hear Steve scramble up and towards the door. I heard a quiet hum as I opened the door and walked out.

We started with a causal walk, but during our conversation I challenged Steve to a race. We started running down through the forest which would soon lead into a swamp.

Steve jumped into the trees while I stayed on the ground. The two of us rushed through the forest as quick as we could, however I had the advantage. I have the eye of enders so I could be lead to the nearest one. As we kept running Steve saw me take a hard right. I followed the eye as quickly as I could making sharp turns as soon as it moved.

I could feel that we were getting my closer to the stronghold as the pull on the eye was getting stronger. I knew if I dropped the eye it would be gone, so I had to hold onto it tightly. As I slid under a branch in my way I could feel the pull getting even stronger. I could feel myself starting to struggle holding the eye, and during my struggle I nearly dropped the eye of ender.

"Shit-!" I shouted quickly grabbing onto the eye of ender again. I held it close to my chest now as I jumped over a large rock. Steve was barely able to keep up with me sense we were getting into thicker forests. This made me harder to see from the treetops.

I continued to pick up speed as I jumped over different parts of nature trying to get to the stronghold located somewhere unknown. Eventually I spotted the eye trying to finally dig through my arms and go into the ground. Which told me everything I needed to know. I looked around for the entrance to the cave and eventually found it. I stare down into the cave noticing how big of a fall it was. I turn around to spot Steve standing behind me.

"Well... now what?" I asked staring into the cave.

"Well, we got to find a way down... right?" He replied with a small and sinister smile. He then grabbed my shoulders and pushed me into the cave.
