"Are you sure this'll work?" Mumbo asked. That morning, Scar had rushed over to his friend with a magic book in hand, saying it can revive people.
'There are only 2 in the known world, so this is our only chance.' He had said. 'It's risky, but if we do it perfectly it should work. '
So they tried. The Lava was ready for the book to be thrown in and the runes had been perfectly replicated in a circle, just as the book had said. They had even done it outside in a barren area no one was incase something happened.
They needed one more component for this to work. For their spell, if they wanted it to be reliable they needed 3 things that represented the dead person.
Mumbo had already taken care of it, bringing a feather from Grian's wings, a cat disk, and a picture of Grian with two unfamiliar people-
a girl with light brown hair and a blue jacket and a blonde curly haired teen.
At that moment, both had completely forgotten about Xel, but who cares about him anyways? He hadn't been seen for a solid week. With the runes all in place, Scar started the spell. He wrote Grian's name into the book and threw it into the lava bucket in the middle of the circle. Instantly, pink magic and flames erupted from the runes, turning green for a second, then red, then purple, then pink again as the magic became sparkles. Then nothing. the bucket was empty of both lava and boom and the grass around the spell had been scorched.
"So that's it?" Mumbo was the first one to speak after a very long moment.
"I guess. Maybe we just have to wait." Scar picked up the bucket, "Hey, have you seen Xel in the past few days?"
"No, i actually forgot about him. It's been a full week, hasn't it?" Oh right, The ghost of the person they were trying to revive was still there.
"Maybe now he's traveling back to the living world?"
"Maybe." Hundreds of thoughts were racing across the mustached man's mind, but one would stick.
Go. Check. The Mansion.
~~~Finally, Warmth. That was all Tommy could feel. After floating in a black, cold void with nothing else but him and his own thoughts, how could he NOT savor it?
He opened his eyes to find himself in a bedroom. The bed was simple, a Queen sized bed with the blankets placed in a way it looked like it was a bird's nest of some kind. The room around it however was huge, with branches coming out of the intricately designed walls, so large someone could rest on them.
He had to explore this whole place!
Wait no, what if someone lived here? No, probably not; this room alone looked abandoned.
It would've been a bad idea to explore, but you know tommyinnit.
He loves bad ideas.As he went on, he saw amazing things, things he could never think of to exist! a diamond chandelier, HUGE parrot reserve, and not to mention the library, tons of books made for entertainment, enchanting, or what-have-you. He stopped back at the bedroom, just to sit for a while. Maybe an hour had gone bye? Who knows.
Tommy flipped onto the bed and just...sat, letting the silence overtake him and letting peace wash over him.
It didn't last long however, as he soon heard footsteps.
shit
shit
shit
shit
SHIT
Fight or flight kicked in, his instincts taking over. Tommy broke a stick off one of the branches and used it as a sword. It wasn't as different as the wooden swords he used to spar with Techno, was it?
That doesn't matter. There's danger here.
Tommy got into position. Would this person have armor? A sword? Enchants? Bows and arrows? He was ready for anything.
The footsteps got closer and closer.
closer and closer, closer and closer. the only thing that went through his mind was that. closer and closer.
The person walked around to the door.
NOW.
Swinging his sword every which way, Tommy screamed to show dominance. He ended up on the floor, on top of a mustached man in a white button up shirt and golden goggles. He smelled of redstone, and his eyes were a blood red. weird.
"Wha- why is everything attacking me?!" The man yelled, shoving Tommy off of himself and fixing himself up, before he-classily- looked down at the teen in front of him. "...who are you?" He mumbled.
"Why would you need to know?" Tommy growled.
"hmph, lots to say for a- what- 12 year old?"
Tommy took that personally. did he really look 12?! "LET ME TELL YOU RIGHT HERE, MY NAME IS TOMMYINNIT THE ONE AND ONLY AND I AM 16! NOT 12!" To that, the mustached man smirked. oh. right.
"Ok then, 'Tommyinnit the one and only', how'd you get here?" The man was just a bit taller than Tommy, almost 6'6.
"Well before I-if I DO tell you, who the fuck are you??"
"Mumbo K. Jumbo, thank you." Why would this guy be so ok with giving information about himself? Wouldn't he be cautious with a stranger?
"what a stupid ass name." Tommy giggled. This Mumbo Jumbo guy is really stupid. isn't he?
Mumbo sighed, before finally asking once again. "Now, where did you come from?"
"A server."
"Which one?"
"An SMP."
"What's its name?"
shit. He had backed Tommy into a corner. "You don't need to know." Yeah, that was a good answer.
"Yeah no, i'm taking you to your admin." NOPE. Tommy broke into a run. He's not going back to Dream.
"HEY!" He could hear Mumbo from the distance.Speeding through the halls, he finally stumbled along the giant door. There. He pushed open the door to light. So. Much. Light.
That doesn't matter now. Tommy runs out to almost falling over the balcony.
Woah. He was so high up. Tommy slowly turned around to see the giant Mansion, in utter awe of the enormous build.
"THERE YOU ARE!" Oh. Right. He was running from someone. Tommy still couldn't peel his eyes from the build, even as Mumbo grabbed him by the forearm, even hesitating a bit when he first grabs the forearm.
"...Who built this?" Tommy whispered.
"Hm? Oh this? Yeah...That was made by My friend Grian. He was never able to finish the back of it." Mumbo looked almost as entranced as he was.
Was?
"ah."
"Right- Now let's get you to Xisuma, our admin."
This time, Tommy obliged. This server can't be worse, can it?
