Renjun woke up around eight in the morning, he decided to leave for one day and he’s going to meet Yangyang, the thing is, he doesn’t know how to tell it to Jaehyun even though he had a chance last night— his emotions were piled up against him that’s why.
He noticed Jaehyun outside from their backyard— where the garden area located, he’s peacefully sipping on his coffee on his black pajamas and white polo, he’s also reading some papers, fixing his eyeglasses and sips— even though there’s great amount distance between them, Renjun can really see those details as he used to.
Jaehyun slowly look up to him when he finally reached him.
“You’re absent today?” Jaehyun asked as he sips on his coffee and back to what he’s reading a newspaper. Jaehyun is a classic person as if he lives during 80’s era, and that’s one of Renjun’s favorite thing about him.
“I’m actually going to meet my friend, sorry if I didn’t tell it a little later,” he pressed his lips.
Jaehyun stares at him, he wanted to say that there’s nothing to be sorry of, that it’s fine but he just nod his head.
“Make sure to go home early and not drunk,” Jaehyun smiled, but again, it didn’t reach his eyes. Renjun wanted to clarify him but he speaks at the same time. “I’ll be home for dinner, I’ll cook for us if that’s fine with you.” Renjun’s face softened.
“I’m not going to meet my co-worker, it’s Yangyang.” Renjun finally said.
Jaehyun was bad at recalling other’s name— can’t blame him since he always met new person almost every day.
“My friend at the province,” Renjun helps him to recall as he was frowning. “He’s going here at Seoul and wanted to meet me.” Jaehyun stares at him, it honestly makes Renjun uncomfortable— he feels like he’s just waiting for him to do the thing, or do the first move.
“Did you already eat breakfast?” Jaehyun asked and focused once again on what he’s reading— disappointment can be heard on his tone.
Renjun sat down and rest his crossed arm on the table, their eyes met— he can feel that any moment, they’ll going to burst.
Renjun shake his head timidly and tried to look away and focus on the papers in front.
“Wait me here, I’m just gonna go grab you some.” he said impatiently, he actually sounds serious as if he’s mad with his eyebrows almost meet each other’s tip as he stands up.
Renjun silently thanks him as he was hungry as fuck, he actually just about to make himself a food but when he saw his husband like a piece of painting displayed in front of him— he was so peaceful that he can’t help but to stare at it. He didn’t even have reasons to go to him, if he wants to leave, he just have to, but again, it was Jaehyun— he just can’t help sometimes.
Jaehyun put a coffee on the table for him as well as some biscuits, Jaehyun probably didn’t cook breakfast knowing Renjun will going to work and it’s fine for him to just have a coffee for his own as his breakfast.
“What are you reading?” Renjun asked without looking on the papers in front, just waiting for his husband to share it to him.
“Newspaper that was released when my father got assassinated,” Renjun look at him very concerned and almost as shock, but Jaehyun just smiled at him— this time, his eyes sparkled as he blinks it and nod his head. “I’m fine.” he assured.
Renjun just focus on the green surroundings— wandering his eyes around until it met Jaehyun’s eyes who’s been staring at him, Jaehyun smiled before he look down on the papers— he was lost and couldn’t find where did he stopped from reading.
