“My favorite Jay~” his uncle sings his name and it honestly ear piercing for him, his uncle sat down and even place his feet up on his table— marking its territory and claiming everything he owned inside the spacious four-cornered room.
“Was it been a week since the party? I’m probably old now to even remember those details, my bad.” he laughed, but Jaehyun didn’t join him in rejoice, in fact, he was the opposite.
“Why are you letting Kim on the loose? To get me?” he asked with his dull eyes but deep and clear tone of his voice was enough to run chills down on your spine.
“Or did you already build alliance with him so two of you could take me as easy as that.” he added. His uncle rest his smile into stoic one.
Jaehyun raise his right eyebrow and released an offensive grin, he even leaned on his knees— resting both his elbows on it, still grinning like a maniac.
“He was interested in you,” his uncle managed to recoil, pouring the glass a liquor for both of them. “He rejected my proposal.” he raised his glass for the toast but didn’t wait for Jaehyun to join as he chug it all the way down to his stomach.
“The man behind the bomb threat was already caught, have you heard about it?” Jaehyun still having those dark smile on his face, kinda like playing with him— it’s a battle of mind, and he was beyond pleased with it.
“His identity was rigged and for some reason, have no other relatives that could come up to and claim his body…” he paused, then stares at his eyes— he leaned even more closer and whispered,“Oh, have you heard that he was killed?” He took a sip on his glass, still not breaking the eye contact.
He could laugh at his uncle but the fact that having fun knowing someone who just died was beyond his way, despite the man had put not only his husband but everyone in danger, he believes that he's just one of those victims, he still hasn't forgive the man for what he had caused anyway, but he believes in his principles, there should be one person controlling the string of its puppets.
“Does it has to do with me?” his uncle asked innocently which made Jaehyun straightened his back as he laugh like an old man.
“Three headshots, two on his chest— he got a tattoo on his back, a forty-three year-old man with no family,” Jaehyun stated like he’s some sort of detective as he recites his inspection about the subject. “Just in case you don’t remember since you claimed you were old enough to remember such details.” he added.
“You’re now bound to be in captivity, once you get in, you can not get out of it... Or if you do so, there's no assurance that you can get out with no damage.” his uncle remarks, he’s now serious as he even leaned closer. “Save yourself, stay away with it.” he added, that sounded like he’s protecting him which made him replied with a smug.
“I’d like to see it myself,” he smiled, but all it did was a tease that could make his uncle pull the trigger— he can tell as he can see those tightening jaw of him, as well as his eyes that’s unstable.
“Seems like you have forgotten about your husband,” it’s time for his uncle to laid back on his seat. “Think what could possibly happens, Jay. The world you’re trying to open was harsh and dark— full of dirty plays, you think Renjun will settle for that?” he sip on his drinks, not breaking the eye contact.
Jaehyun’s expression darkened the moment his husband was mentioned, but he tried his best not to be swayed by it anyway, grinning even more.
“Seems like you really doesn’t want me to get involved, were you the one behind all of these killing spree?” Jaehyun whispered and he saw how his uncle tightened the grip on his glass liquor.
