"Are you sure you're okay now?" Jaehyun asked, but Renjun was blank staring outside the window.
He looked at Jaehyun when he felt his hand on his lap, gaining his attention.
"You don't have to work yourself... You can just stay away from here, be with your mom..." Renjun just stares at him.
"I will buy a new house for you and your mom so you don't have to deal with any of this." he said as if persuading him to just go wit it.
"I'm tired of running away, Jae." he whispered, too tired that he can't even turn his gaze away.
Renjun find its strength and load off the car. Entered their quarter without batting an eye to anyone, his friends even welcomed him as it's been such long week they haven't seen their friend.
Renjun really appreciate their presence and all but he's not really in the mood— giving them smile in all he could, he was exhausted, tired and all of that shit.
"I don't want to do this anymore." the first thing Jaehyun said, the time his manager came inside his office.
Confused and was slightly intimidated, all she could do was tilt her head in asking for more clarification.
"We don't have to pretend like something's really going on between us." he said straight, more intense this time.
"I already announced to my family that we're dating, and they've pretty much seen some of the articles about us." she said almost like a whisper, she suddenly lose her confidence.
Rina still holding grudges against her family, she actually don't even know what family means anymore— kids of parents are just an investment, designed as product, for them to trade with their own greed and satisfaction, a way for them to continue what they started when they can't function anymore.
"My father was intrigued, he wanted to meet you." Jaehyun just stares at her, calculating all the possibilities inside his head.
"We can stop once he gave in his trust." the corner of Jaehyun's lips started to elevate, forming into a grin, fingers playing his lower lip as he looks at her like she's some kind of prey.
"Then what will happen next? What actually was your plan anyway?" he asked very serious, but he's actually just playing with her.
He knows she can just flip the table and use him for his father, or maybe she really has feelings for him and she wanted none of that but him— he doesn't want to think that way but he's considering it as probability. And if that's the case, then it's a double win for her, she will use him against his father as she was plotting a treason, and she'll be tied with him as she wants him for her life. He chuckles with that thought.
"You know my uncle is a member of the board, I can easily bribe him to know if he's doing something behind your back." she said confidently. "I can run a background check and spy him." she added.
It was actually an easy thing for him to execute as he can always throw a bomb with someone shitting on him, but he like how she made it sounds so promising, he was intrigued as well.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jaemin asked full of soothing, very comforting.
It was their break and Jaemin decided to stay with Renjun as Haechan and Jana went down at the café. Renjun still wasn't feeling good, but he's trying his best to be as responsive as he can.
He gave him a timid smile and nod his head, looking down on his hand as he plays with his fingers— it's starting to get awkward as he can feel Jaemin's staring at him.
