Marcus's POV

"Run! .... Keep running in the depths of despair, you coward! Keep running away afraid from your fears!

But you know you're such a disappointment in everyone's eyes!

No one gives a damn farthing for you!
Just let yourself disappear in the freaking woods, you're already lost, anyway!" - was telling me a spooky voice which I couldn't figure out where was it coming from.

"You failed! You're a failure! You murdered your mother, even though it wasn't a direct murder, you did it with your actions! Your family detest you, but you don't deserve no other thing!"

- The voice kept hurting me, while I was running in the creepy forest with tears in my eyes, and my head looking down from shame.

I got myself lost in the woods, being haunted by the voices. The voices of my head.

Dense fog, frightening sounds of gauges and bats passing behind me, long trees with a horrifying look, the intolerable voice, who was announcing the entire forest, the noise of leaves and my steps, the full darkness and ignorance of where I was going.....

I kept running in that horror, crying my eyes out.

My vision was blurred, I was probably hallucinating.

The trees were staring at me with creepy smirks, making fun of me.

I couldn't take this anymore and while running I tripped on a rock and fell on the ground on my face, having my clothes and half face stained in mud.

I turned around just to see a scary looking creature in front of me. It started approaching me slowly talking with the voice from earlier.

"I'm your fears, I'm your dark mind and consciousness! You can run, but you can't get rid of me, I will always haunt you in your head!" - the creepy figure told me.

I started backing up as I was on the ground, but some black roots wrapped my hands and feet. I couldn't move. I tried to break away from them, but I didn't do it.

That's when the mud on my face, hands and clothes turned into blood, and the leaves I had underneath myself turned into spiders. I cried out of horror. I was terrified.

"Ah, what do you want?! Leave me alone! Get the f*ck away from me!" - I yelled through tears with my voice shaking at the terrifying shadow figure with red eyes coming closer to me.

"I am you! I am your gloomy mind! I am every bad word, you ever thought, every evil act you ever wanted to do on those who don't give a sh*t about you! Look how ugly I am! Look how much harm and hatred you keep in yourself! I am that evil and hatred! I'm ugly, am I not?!"  - uttered the thick and frightening voice.

"No, you're wrong! I don't mean no harm to anyone! I'm not a bad person! I just wanted a freaking family!!" - I yelled.

"Oh, really?! Are you not leaned in innocent people's blood right now?! You're a bad son, bad brother, bad friend,....bad person!" - asked me the monster, which I could see clearly in front of me.

"No, no, no, I'm-i'm not! I'm not a bad person!" - I said as I stared at my bloody shaking hands.

"Me - your consciousness, I'm about to end your torments, yet right now!" - claimed the scary figure and reached out to end me with its large hand, that had sharp nails.

I stared at its terrifying red eyes and my heart dropped.

"DON'T DO IT, STOP!" - I cried quarts at him and closed my eyes, covering my head with my bloody hands.
