Tonight was the same as all the other ones, tossing and turning in bed to fall asleep as thoughts weigh your mind like thousands of bricks. Memories from the past, problems of the present, and thoughts of the future. No matter where your mind wandered it always ended up in somewhere you didn't want to be. Like always, you grew sick of the thoughts and decided to join Fugitoid on the bridge, if he didn't need sleep neither did you. You dragged yourself out of bed and threw on your uniform before making your way to the bridge. On your way there you passed the living room where a light seeped into the hallway and a hushed argument was mixed with electronic voices from the TV show Mikey undoubtedly forced his brothers to watch. You silently crept to the doorframe to listen in, sure it was nosy but in your defense they were the ones who left the door open. The conversation got more distinct as you snuck closer until your back leaned against the wall outside the door. Your species was blessed with extraordinary hearing, listening to whispers was easier than counting to 10.

"--esn't even know us, I bet they're only here because of Fugitoid." Raphael, "If that's how it is so be it, they both saved us, Raph, and you know it." Leonardo. The pair argued very often but not usually about other people. "Yeah, so what? How long until they turn their back on us? There's something they're not telling us and you know it. They're shifty!" Raphael's voice was strained as he tried to keep quiet, at least one other brother was asleep on the couch. "Maybe that's just how they are. We don't know what they've been through, maybe they're just seriously twisted." Leonardo offered. Though he was on your side his words still send a pang through your chest, his choice of vocabulary was not the softest. "Look, if you want to get stabbed in the back, be my guest. I still don't trust them and I don't think I ever will." Raph concluded before his heavy footsteps grew lighter before the couch creaked and blankets shuffled. A sigh came from Leo and he followed suit before the television voices turned off and the room went dark.

Their argument ricocheted through your mind, both their words stuck in your ears. Did they honestly hate you that much? Here you were thinking you were growing closer to the group. Did all of them feel the same way as Raph did? Question after question runs through your mind as you padded away to the bridge, finally. The doors slid open but your gaze was cast to the ground as you walked in. "Hello, my dear. It's quite late, you know. Is something the matter?" Fugitoid's gentle voice made you pry your vision from the floor. Donatello and Fugitoid stood around one control center as their gazes lingered on you. Your body language gave away your sour mood, so you quickly fixed your posture and expression to show nothing more. "I'm alright, just couldn't sleep. Didn't know if you needed help." you spoke in your normal monotone voice as to not raise any red flags in their minds. "The more the merrier!" Fugitoid held his arm out for you as an invitation to join them so you quickly did so. As you settled a little bit away from Donatello, where Fugitoid guided you, he shot you a closed eye grin, it seemed welcoming and awkward at the same time. You couldn't help but look down without returning a smile, causing you not to see the concerned look from the purple clad turtle.

You all worked for a long time, though you tried your best to steer clear of Donatello in case he shared the same feelings as his brothers did. After a long while, you were sure everyone was up and busying themselves around the ship. Donatello was sent to fetch the others while you stayed busy at your station, busy as in scrolling the internet to seem like you were doing important things. Everyone returned to the deck, filing one by one. "Alright, what's this all about Fugitoid?" Raph immediately grumbled as soon as he set foot on deck. You couldn't help but shoot him a glance from the corner of your eye but he was already glaring toward Fugitoid and yourself. You immediately returned your gaze back to the panel in front of you and decided to keep it there for a good while as Fugitoid explained why you were all watching the Triceraton ship in front of you from behind a few asteroids.

"They cant see us on radar, right, Fugitoid? You're sure this is going to work?" Raph continued to doubt Fugiotid who brushed off his anger like dust. "The Triceratons are convinced the first piece of the black hole generator is on that planet, we just need to reach it first." Fugitoid explained as April rested her hand on her temple and expressed her focus. "I'm just gonna say it now, something's not right about this mission." she warned with her brows furrowed and shoulders raised.

Everyone suited up and prepared to board the mini pod. You were finishing up when you noticed Leo's gaze on you from the corner of your eye. He stared for a minute longer before he realized you returned the stare. His face became panicked and bright before he awkwardly smiled and waved a bit, he knew he'd been caught. You only stared for a moment longer with void expression before turning your back on him to board the pod. His frown sank deeper on his face and his brows scrunched together. You'd normally return a shallow grin when you met his gaze, 'why hadn't you now?' was all he could ask himself.
