"HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY LIKE HIM?" y/n's best friend asked loudly causing messi's friend group to look over at y/n's lunch table
"honestly y/n are you being serious?" another girl at the table asked, y/n sat quietly picking at her lunch food
y/n could hear people talking at messi's lunch table which was next to her's and soon neymar walked up to y/n, "y/n did you do the homework?" he asked looking into her eyes
"leave her alone neymar, she doesn't want to give you the damn homework" y/n's best friend , alix spoke giving neymar a dirty look
he moved over now looking at alix, "well did you do it princess" he asked smirking, "no and take this piece of gum you need it" she said making fun of him
he rolled his eyes walking back to the table, embarrassed. the girls got up expect one "y/n i'll meet you 6th period" alix spoke smiling at y/n
the h/c haired girl stayed at the table because she never wanted to be early to class but she soon wishes she got up with her friends because within 2 minutes every single person in messi's friend group including him were now sitting in front of y/n
"who do you like?" mbappe asked, she ignored the boy who grabbed the girls phone and putting it on his lap
"give my phone back mbappe, you're not funny" she spoke being serious, this was different because everytime the group was around the young girl she always seemed nervous
"not until you tell us" messi spoke, y/n's heart skipped a beat as he spoke to her
y/n liked messi for almost 3 years straight, no matter how he treated her or what he said to her she was always head over heals for him
"it's not your business, it's not anyone's business actually" she spoke getting up as mbappe slid her phone across the table
"you play football yes?" luis asked as the group walked with y/n through the halls
"yes i do why?" she asked filling up her water bottle, "what team?" neymar asked
"she plays for barcelona" messi answered, "how would you know" neymar spoke with a normal attitude he always had
messi ignored the question, as he watched y/n walk up the stairs
"bye y/n!" the group spoke
"so are you going to tell her you like her?" neymar asked speaking up
"omg shut up, what if she can hear you" messi said hitting neymar's neck, "blah blah answer the question"

it's been 2 weeks since that has happened and every single day for 14 days messi has watched y/n practice
everyone in the groups knew they liked each other but the two groups didn't like each other
which meant y/n and messi couldn't like each other, y/n sat in her bedroom in a empty home waiting for her parents to come back from their jobs
a loud knock appeared on the front door, y/n walked down the stairs slowly looking out of the window to see messi
"you scared me" she spoke opening the door, "oh sorry y/n may i come in?" he asked politely
y/n looked in his hands to see flowers and a gift bag
she opened up the door a bit more, and stepped aside, "umm we can go in here if you want" y/n spoke awkwardly as she led him to the living room, it was dark so she turned a light on
"why are you at my house?" she asked confused as she sat across from him, messi handed y/n the flowers and gift bag
"thank you" she spoke, she smiled at him, as messi sat next to y/n looking into her eyes "y/n i like you no matter how much our friend groups don't get along we can get along. your personality is the best thing to exist. i've fallen in love with you and i keep falling harder and harder everyday, i want to spend the rest of my life with you. i want to grow old with you. i'd do anything for you" he spoke spilling all his feeling to y/n telling her everything he felt
y/n smiled, she kissed messi's cheek, "i love you too" she spoke quietly silently appreciating his words
"i've loved you for 3 years" y/n said looking at the flowers. "i know you have. you make it obviously amor"
