In fact, 7 days later Beomgyu was sitting next to the Choi Yeonjun in History Class.
The class had started way long time ago, and now they were supposed to start to discuss a few things. So they awkwardly decided to sit at some random table in the corridor.
Beomgyu, the serious student he is, took out some notes and his laptop, ready to start this project.
He looked over to Yeonjun, whose eyes were fixated on his phone. He instead, brought nothing with him.
"Uhm" Beomgyu started a bit with a lack of confidence, "what kind of topic should we choose to write about?"
Yeonjun glanced directly into Beomgyu's eyes but shook his shoulders. "Dunno, you can choose"
Beomgyu blinked a few times at that random answer. "Are you sure? There is a lot we could write about; like the cold war, woman's rights or music-"
"Cold war sounds fine"
"Okay" he replied, and went on to type something in a new blank word document.
Since Yeonjun was still penetrating his eyes through the phone, Beomgyu sighed loudly to catch his attention, to which Yeonjun immediately looked up.
"Hm?"
"We should split some tasks. There could be someone who would do the research, or edit the document or prepare the final presentation."
Nonetheless, Yeonjun's face wouldn't change expression, he seemed like he didn't care much.
"What is this for again?"
Beomgyu had to control himself to not burst out in anger yet.
"Group project. Write a thesis about a topic and present it to professors."
Yeonjun raised his eyebrows as he was thinking about something.
His cross-earring was the first thing Beomgyu had noticed about him.
After a while, the guy answered with another question,
"Which class is this actually?"
Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit (100 degrees Celsius), right?
Well not in Beomgyu's case, because his blood did overflow a while ago.
"History"
Good job Gyu, stay strong.
"Oh I'll do the editing then. You can do the rest" he mumbled as he played with one of his dark hair strands.
How would Beomgyu get good grades out of this if Yeonjun had no idea in anything?
Beomgyu nodded and continued to write something on his laptop.
After a while Beomgyu didn't see much sense in sitting next to a brainless idiot, so he decided to walk back to class.
"Wait" he heard Yeonjun say and turned around.
"Beomgyu right? Is your sister Ha-ri free today?"
Oh what a good day would have been to smash a head into a wall.
"No" the younger replied, and walked away towards the classroom.
Yeonjun tsked to himself, thinking Beomgyu was a weird person.
---
"Gyu, could you help me arrange the table dear?"
Beomgyu stood up and made his way to the kitchen. He was in a good mood today, so he gladly would help out his mom now.
As his mom was finishing cooking, Beomgyu set the table. Soon both of them finished quickly and the magic was done.
Beomgyu placed the last glass and was about to walk away, when his mom called him again.
"Oh why don't you ask Yeonjun if he wants to join us for dinner?"
Oh right. Yeonjun came over a few hours ago, but he had forgotten his presence for a while.
His smile dropped and his angry devilish side came back "Sure"
He made his way up to the stairs and stopped in front of Ha-ri's door.
He avoided knocking, which he knew Ha-ri would hate.
"Dinner ready" Beomgyu announced and made a few steps into the room.
The moment he stepped in, was when Yeonjun fell from the Ha-ri's bed to the floor. You could imagine what they were doing.
"Choi Beomgyu! How many times do I have to tell you to knock?" she shouted and Beomgyu couldn't care any less.
"Dinner is ready" he repeated with a grin, while giving a quick glance to the reddened Yeonjun on the floor.
Of course, he wouldn't ask if Yeonjun would eat dinner with them. Ha-ri would force and beg him anyway.
And with that, the guy left the room and didn't mind leaving the door open. Typical sibling behavior, you would say.
Five minutes later, the two lovebirds finally walked down the stairs to then take a seat at the table.
The table was set for 4 people, and Yeonjun noticed that, so he waved off and was about to exit the house.
"Oh no stay here Yeonjun-ah, Beomgyu will set another plate for you"
Beomgyu glared a death stare to his sibling. She knew very well he couldn't stand him.
"Oh you don't have to-"
Beomgyu stood up with an exaggerated sigh and took a plate with glass and fork, to then place it with a groan on the other side of the table.
The house silenced, as they watched the annoyed Beomgyu sit back down.
"Beomgyu you are free to go back to your room with that attitude," his father said coldly.
Beomgyu didn't reply to that, he just stabbed the fork into the vegetable and started to eat.
The family finished their meals and started to put the plates together. Out of habit, Beomgyu picked up the plates and headed to the kitchen.
A while later he saw out of the corner of his eyes someone grabbing a towel next to him and starting to dry the dishes.
"No need to show off to them" Beomgyu commented, as he continued to wash off.
"I am not showing off" Yeonjun replied.
They proceeded in silence until all of the dishes were washed and put back in their place.
"I am just trying to understand why you act this cold towards me" Yeonjun broke the silence.
Beomgyu shared a disgusted look while he was hanging up the towel. "Just because my family loves you doesn't mean I have to"
Again, silence. The boys were not quite understanding eachother, which didn't help the situation.
"Weirdo"
"Idiot" Beomgyu hissed back.
There was slowly this tension forming between them, each of them had another reason. While Beomgyu hoped this guy would stop dating his step-sister (so that he wouldn't feel any pressure), Yeonjun hoped the younger would be put in place by his parents.
"Listen Gyu" Yeonjun warned, grabbing Beomgyu's wrist with a firm hold, "I am older than you, you better respect me, understood?"
Beomgyu's eyes darkened as he glared at his wrist.
"Another reason why I will not" the younger scoffed with a mischievous grin.
A/N: why do I enjoy writing angry characters lol
