5 minutes before the kiss
Yeonjun's phone constantly vibrated against his pocket, meaning it was a call from someone.
With a groan the raven-haired excused himself and picked up the phone.
"What's up Ni-ki"
"Hey bro" the caller greeted, his voice seeming to be a bit concerned, "where are you right now?"
"Uhm, I'm out with Beomgyu, why?"
"She's here dude. You need to get the hell out of there"
Yeonjun's eyes widened in realization, processing the situation he was in "What? How did she know?"
Ni-ki leaned his back into the carseat, sighing out loud "You told me to keep an eye on Ha-ri this evening. 10 minutes ago she stormed out of her house and I followed her. Now I'm in front of a big ass mansion with a bunch of drunk ass people coming in and out- DUDE THAT'S MY FUCKING CAR, PISS SOMEWHERE ELSE"
Yeonjun gulped, not expecting his girlfriend actually had tracked him down. "Shit, I gotta go, thanks man"
As he later rushed with Beomgyu down the stairs, he hoped for himself that Ha-ri wasn't already inside there. Just before he was about to exit through the door, there she was, her eyes scanning the room.
"Fuck" Yeonjun hissed and turned around to face Beomgyu.
I'm about to do something very stupid but fuck it, he thought to himself. The kiss was maybe the only way to make himself not notice from Ha-ri. I mean, no one would think their boyfriend is kissing another boy right then and there?
Back to the present
Beomgyu's back was still pressed against the wall. Even if it was a normal kiss, he couldn't believe that Yeonjun did that.
Yeonjun instead looked up and scanned the room. He couldn't see Ha-ri anywhere else, so that meant he was free to go.
"Let's go" he grabbed Beomgyu's wrist again, and made him follow outside. Luckily he didn't park his car too far away, so they quickly found it.
The drive back to Beomgyu's house was silent. You can imagine how confused the boy was. Even if he wanted the kiss to happen, he expected something else to happen too.
Looking over to Yeonjun who was driving, he could read the worries on his face. As if he was nervous about something.
"Yeonjun?"
The driver lifted his eyebrows "Yeah?"
"Does that mean you broke up with Ha-ri?" Beomgyu asked, referring to the kiss they shared.
Yeonjun pressed his lips together. No he didn't. He didn't know how to tell Beomgyu.
It wouldn't have made any sense. His relationship with her didn't make any sense.
"I see, you didn't" Beomgyu answered for him and looked down, as he put the pieces together.
Did it mean that Yeonjun was just trying something out? Beomgyu didn't like that idea. He didn't want to be used like a testing toy.
The car stopped and it was time for Beomgyu to leave. Should he just get out or-
"I want to be honest with you Gyu" Yeonjun blabbered, holding the steering wheel tight between his fingers.
"The kiss didn't mean anything. I just tried to escape from someone, sorry" he then admitted, glancing over at the seated boy next to him.
Beomgyu nodded slowly and got out of the car. Yeah that was his last straw.
He hated himself for having overthought this whole thing. For having kept a hope in him and for assuming Yeonjun would want something from him. If his family didn't like him, why would Yeonjun then?
See, Beomgyu felt so much anger that didn't feel a single tear rolling down his cheek. He was disappointed in himself for feeling this way, but he felt like he shouldn't.
At this point he should give everything up right? Before he could conclude, he dropped himself on his bed and decided to sleep for the rest of the night. He could think about this whole thing tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun dropped his head onto the steering wheel. Yeah he had fucked up. Instead of confessing his feelings, he avoided them. What an idiot he was.
His phone vibrated again for endless minutes. He didn't feel like talking with anyone now, but the buzzing was going on his nerves.
"It better be urgent" he answered and a chuckle was heard on the other side of the phone.
"Does checking up on a friend count as urgent?"
"Ni-ki I'm not in the feels of joking right now"
The giggle from Ni-ki echoed the call "Okay okay. So the way you sound like makes me think that your plan didn't go as we had planned"
"Hmpf"
"Oh Yeonjun" his friend sighed, "don't tell me you did the opposite?"
Yeonjun lifted his head, stroking his hair annoyed "I did kiss him"
"But?"
"But...I told him I didn't mean it"
Ni-ki gasped dramatically and changed the phone to the other ear "Why do I have such an asshole as a best friend" he stated, "not even my dog Bisco would do that"
"Your dog doesn't have relationship problems Ni-ki" Yeonjun frowned, while starting the car.
"At least my dog has a brain, not unlike you"
"I'm hanging up" Yeonjun mumbled annoyed, but Ni-ki stopped him beforehand "Okay okay hold on".
The younger sighed before talking again "Just wanted to tell you that Ha-ri drove off from here a minute ago"
Yeonjun hummed, steering the wheel with his left hand through the streets.
Ni-ki started the engine of his car as well and drove off "I just hope you know what you have to do next, Yeonjun"
"Yeah, you will see"
A/N: you will see
