A/N: There are not many chapters left guys :(
The long drive to the hospital was silent and seemed to be like an eternity to Beomgyu. Just his own sniffles were to hear in Soobin's spaced car.
The two boys were sitting in the back, their heads full of thoughts and emotions to decipher. Beomgyu couldn't help to stare at each wound on Yeonjun's body, so he decided to take off his sweater jacket and pat carefully on each scar. A/N: no he's not naked underneath
"Gyu, it's okay", Yeonjun reminded him, but Beomgyu shook his head with puffy eyes.
"No, it's not...it probably hurts so bad", Beomgyu of course knew how Yeonjun must have felt, since he himself had experienced this a couple of times. Even though he never treated his wounds or worried about the scars. But seeing that on Yeonjun made his heart shatter.
Beomgyu continued to dry away the blood along his arms, and Yeonjun let him be. Maybe it helped him to calm down, who knows. Just then Yeonjun had noticed the blinking bracelet wrapped around Beomgyu's wrist.
"What is that?" he asked curiously, since it clearly didn't look like any normal bracelet or watch.
Beomgyu's hands froze at the question, and glanced over to his wrist. "Nothing" he mumbled, cursing to himself for having worn a short-sleeved shirt under the jacket.
"What do you mean 'nothing'?" he repeated and looked for Beomgyu's eyes-contact.
The younger finally looked up and saw the confused expression on Yeonjun's face, to which he sighed and let his hands drop.
"I'll tell you later, okay? Your situation is more important right now", Yeonjun nodded and decided to trust Beomgyu's intentions. So Yeonjun lifted his fingers to wipe some of the dried tears on Beomgyu's face.
That made the boy chuckle again and leaned himself back against the seat. "I don't even know why I was crying, it's you who got hurt, not me".
Yeonjun smiled and extended his arm to stroke Beomgyu's head. "I think it's cute to see how much you worry about me".
A pink blush appeared on Beomgyu's cheeks, and before he could complain about Yeonjun's statement, the car stopped in a parking lot.
"We arrived guys", Soobin announced and stepped out of the car.
The three of them made it into the ER, and after explaining Yeonjun's state, he got admitted right away.
Yeonjun was brought into a room with Soobin, but Beomgyu got instructed to wait outside in the hallway for a while.
"But why?", he had asked, his panic rising up again. The nurse informed him, that it was a quick process they preferred if only family members or partners would enter the room as well.
So Beomgyu let himself flop on one of the rigid chairs and sighed out loud.
He wasn't a family member and neither was his partner. He thought about pretending again to be his boyfriend, but then he would have felt guilty. In the end it's a hospital, he couldn't play tricks in an official environment.
But then again he got worried and wanted to see – wanted to stay by Yeonjun's side, when he was getting treated. Until then, he himself wouldn't feel okay either. Beomgyu was never stressed before in his life right now, and it wasn't even that big of an issue. He tried his best not to reason his behaviour, but then a voice in his head wouldn't stop reminding him about something.
