Out of the sea

Chapter 3

I swam around my chamber. Trying to calm myself. Also glad that nobody disturbed me for the last 30 minutes.
Yes, I was counting just to keep me from breaking down but that did not stop me from lashing.

To prevent further more fury that was bubbling inside of me I interest myself on my chamber's looks.

My bed was pushed in the middle of the room. On it's side is my drawer filled with pearls and antique clams that I have collected since I was young. The bed was in a form of a big clam opening it's mouth in agape. With it's soft purplish sand and small bubbles to be my pillows.

A streak of sunlight hits me in the eye then I saw something shinning. Turning around to see what the shining thing is it was a full-length golden mirror. On it's reflection reveals an enormous closet. The closet is filled with dresses and gowns that father and mother gave me during my birthdays. I studied it more.

Then I notice a small crack in the wall beside my closet. Strange. I never saw that before. That must have been the impact of the earthquake that happened before.

I do not know what happened that night very well. My sisters told me that the kingdom was in chaos. The structures were destroyed only the bottom part of their body was left.

Floating towards it, I push my closet as hard as I could. It did not move one bit.

Using all my strength and energy, I pushed and pushed still nothing happened. I sighed in annoyance. " I have no choice but to use my power."

Positioning myself in mastery. Remembering what mother taught me back when I was still young.

I closed my eyes as I took a deep breath. My hands raised with gracefulness. I the words flew out of my lips fluently. "O venefica , quae intra me virtute ad me venire ad te quaeram in mare ut pacem et concordiam fluit . Obsecro autem vos volo concedere ."

I heard a movement in front of me. Curious if what I did was right, I took a peek in my lashes and right there I saw my closet float like it weighted nothing. It danced with the waters.

I can not help but grin at the scene. "I did it! I did it! I can't believe I did it!" I shout in joy. I twirled around my room. My happiness overpowering the dizziness that came in my head. Nonetheless I swirled and dance in excitement. "I should tell mother about this! She would be so proud of me now that I have unleashed one of my powers."

I almost forgot what the reason was on why I moved the closet. Behind my closet was huge hole. The orange seaweeds used as a curtain like door. It was very dark and mysterious.

"Hello is someone there?" I took a step forward. How come I have not seen this in my entire life.

I only heard silence and that terrified me.

Should I call for help? No I do not need anybody's help. I can do this on my own.

I grab a light from my drawer. "You can do this Rapunzel. There's nothing to be afraid of. Nothing's there. It's only the dark that might grab you and slaughter you till you die." I gulp loudly as I say the last part.

I pushed the seaweeds aside as I push myself into the darkness.
