YOU stared down at the black cat infront of you as it stared back.
You take a slow step forward, not wanting to scare it off yet.
You had a cat similar to this when you were younger... it had died, though.
You, as a child, were always more... violent? Not in a way where you would yell and throw tantrums, but in a way where you would take all you're anger out on small animals.
Unfortunately small animals got too boring.

Your mother gasped, look down at you with a horrified expression.
Six years old, you stood in front of her, hands splattered with blood and the corpse of a deformed rabbit in your hands.
"...?" You tilt your head, one hand grasping the rabbit as the other was covered in blood.
It's stomach was slit open, eyes gouged out as it's mouth was snapped open, jaw very obviously broken. It's bones were snapped in odd positions, some even poking out of the skin.
If it were alive it would've been in excruciating pain, too bad it's not. You briefly wondered how long it would stay alive in a state like this, if it would try to escape.
"You— You—!"
A harsh slap was delivered across your face, the rabbit landing on the floor with a dull 'thunk' noise.
You didn't say anything, unsure of what you did wrong.
You glanced back up at your mother, unfazed by the growing red mark on your face.
"You monster!" She shrieked, staring in horror at your little experiment, "How could you do something like this?!"
Huh? What... What did you do?
You glance down at the rabbit, eyesbrows furrowed for a second in thought before you looked back up at your mother.
You couldn't understand what you did wrong. You couldn't understand why she was so horrified by this.
"You demon child! I don't understand why you were even born at all!" She cries, storming out of the room with a slam of the door.
"..?"
Had you done something wrong?
You frown in confusion as you look back at the rabbit before walking off, not caring much about it since the experiment was over.

Seven years later, you stood over the corpse of your mother.
