Chapter 13 - Wait for Me

"Wait for Me"

"Hinata?" I froze, my body went numb as I unconsciously ended the call. I don't want to hear anymore from what Kiba is about to say.

"Naruto? whats up man.. " I heard Sasuke from behind.

I turned to him, my face flustered
"Wha-whats happening to you ... are you that affected with her engagement?"

"The hell I am..." with that I ran away. I need to go back... fast. I need to get to her. I can't believe how she affects me so much.

"Hey!! Naruto!!! ... not again... " was all that I can hear from my best friend.

Hinata getting engaged? No!.. no! this can't be happening ..

I ran as fast as I could to go back to the hotel. Hinata's images keeps poppin every now and then as I make a dash in the streets of Tokyo, my feet just keeps on moving on its own-never wanting to stop.

I reached the hotel after 15 minutes of running, I immediately collected my things and dumped it inside my backpack. I checked my phone and *Google the bullet train's schedule ... 3:40, I checked the time 3:10 - I need to get to the station quick!.

Kiba sent a message that the party will start at 8pm tonight and the engagement will follow at 9pm. The travel time from Tokyo is 5 long hours- If I take the train now I'll be there by 8:40pm, I don't have a moment to spare.

I reached the station 5 minutes before the scheduled time. I picked a seat near the door for quick access.

I get my phone to send a message to Pops, I need his help with this one.

Pops, I'm on my way home, I'll arrive 8:40 tonight fetch me there - DON'T BE LATE!!!.

I stared at my phone again, my hand is itching to dial her number but I know she'll not answer. With my mind still deciding, my thumb already find its way to the contacts and pressed the call button.

Riiing!!! Riiing!!! Riiing!!!

No answer...

I told you... I said to myself, when I was about to remove the phone away from my ears the ring stops.

"Naruto kun... " The voice I've been waiting for - finally.

"Hinata!" I want to shout her name but I need to control my tone since I am already inside the train.

"Hinata... Please cancel the party" I just hear a gasp over the line. She might not seen that coming.

"Na-naruto kun... How di-did you found out?" worry in her voice.

"Thats not important... Please Hinata"

"Ba- but I can't - "

"Hinata I-" I stopped as I hear someone talk aside from Hinata... A guy.

" Hinata our parents wanted our presence right now" the guy said.

"I- I'll be right there Toneri sama ... Please do wait for me outside" Hinata answered back. Hinata may hid the phone because the voices were low.

Toneri, the one who sent her messages? And the one who gave her the letter?
Toneri is the one Hinata is going to get engaged to?

"A- I'm sorry Naruto kun, I need to go now... Goodbye" and with that she hangs up.

I almost smash the phone onto the train's floor. I am so frustrated and pissed and worried I don't know what to feel anymore.

"Hinata please don't do this" I whispered.
