Rain's fault
"Are you avoiding me?"
Hinata stopped, she just stood still and bowed her head, not saying anything at all. I doubled my steps, walk past her and stood in front of Hinata, my free hand found its place on her left shoulder.
"Hinata?" I whispered seeking for an answer.
"Na-naruto kun, please remove your hand" she said quietly.
"Ah?! But?... Okay, sorry" I slowly removed my hand and turned my back feeling a bit pissed off.
"C'mon let's go, its getting dark now" I replied coldly and started to take a step away. I heard her sigh before she moved and followed me - one meter away.
She really wanted to stay away from me huh, does she hates me? Have I done something wrong?..Geez! I am not good with this kind of situation dattebayou!
The way home seems to be endless, I let her walk ahead, for safety reasons. No words were shared between the two of us - just complete silence.
Until what it seems to be like forever, we reached the Hyuuga Mansion and I broke the silence. " Guess we're here" .
"Tha-thank you for walking me ho-home, Naruto kun" she said as she walks towards me to get her books.
I hand her her books but I did not let go instantly, I need to know her reasons. I need to know it right now!
"Hinata, can we talk and I'll never take no as an answer" I said.
"B-But we- we have no-nothing to talk a-about Na-naruto kun" she stuttered as she tried to get the books away from me.
"Yes there is and you know that Hinata" I am doing my best not to raise my voice.
She opened her lips to say something but a thunder suddenly roared across the sky that even I shut my eyes close in surprise. Weather nowadays are so unpredictable just like girls- I want to face palm myself. I heard a squeal and suddenly...
What the???? I felt something warm against me and as I opened my eyes I wanted to close it again to check if it is really happening.
Hinata is hugging me tight... I could not move in shock and when I was about to place my hands on her shoulder to check if she's okay another equally ear crashing thunder came, followed by a nerve wracking lightning that lits the night sky. Hinata let out a whimper and hold me tighter, her books were now scattered down the pavement.
"Hinata? A-are you okay? Your books..." I asked, worrying as I felt her trembling.
She lifted her head to look at me, her lavender eyes watery and her face red. I felt my face burn as I realized that my face were just inches away from her. Beautiful...
"Naruto kun, so-sorry I didn't mean to...
I-its the thu-thunder... I - I "she cried
Before I could do something inappropriate I placed both of my hands on her shoulder and slowly pushed her away. I don't want her to be thinking that I am taking advantage of her.
And the unexpected happened, heavy rain suddenly took action, instantly covering the both of us wet. I immediately took off my coat to protect our already wet selves as Hinata scram to pick her books at the pavement. We shared the small space my coat covers, and we immediately ran towards the gate of the mansion. She rummage for her keys and we quickly opened the mighty gate to let ourselves in. We continue to run until we reach the main entrance of the grand mansion and we immediately seek shelter.
