"Welcome to the Chamber of Secrets, darling," Arabella declared in parseltongue

"Welcome to the Chamber of Secrets, darling," Arabella declared in parseltongue. "Named after yours truly." Her mouth curved into a smug smile.

Tom was too thrilled to focus on anything other than the chamber and his plans. He had found the Chamber of Secrets. He had finally found it.

And now he had only one thing on his mind. He really did want to complete his ancestor's work - it was his duty. But he had a greater goal. He, more than anything, wanted to become unbeatable.

The death of his filthy muggle father was perfect for his first horcrux.

And, then he would plan other deaths, because Tom Riddle was going to split his soul seven times -  the most beautiful, luckiest number.

He would be the most powerful being. He would be immortal.

He just needed to know if it was possible. He had to ask someone. A professor. But he would worry about that later. Right now, he stood in front of the entrance to the chamber.

"Well," Arabella announced with a wide gesture to the tunnel, "after you, Heir."

She really didn't believe it was possible, but he smiled even wider and his back straightened as he stood taller.

Tom drew out his wand, casting the Lumos charm and peered into the darkness of the tunnel.

Arabella rolled her eyes. "Just slide in, Tom. It really isn't difficult."

Tom gave her a quick glare before pocketing his wand and sliding in first.

It is an actual slide, Tom suddenly realised. The entrance to a chamber that holds a deadly force is a fucking slide.

He slid down and landed in a pile of bones that crunched beneath his feet. "Are you coming, Chambers-?" he drawled out to her before getting knocked over by Arabella. They both crunched over the bones.

Arabella placed her hands over Tom's chest and smiled down at him seductively. "Who knew falling for you would be such a bone-crushing experience?"

He quickly shoved her off of him and stood up. "You make me sick."

Arabella cocked her head. "I really thought you were better at lying, love," she said staring up at him through her lashes.

"Get up," he told her.

She sighed and got up, grumbling, "Salazar is an idiot for putting a collection of bones at the end of a slide."

Tom didn't hear her though, his attention entirely focused on the circular door with multiple snakes slithering out from one end. He was silent as the look of pride made its way onto his face.

Arabella watched as he grew closer to the door and his long fingers traced the snakes. He didn't take his eyes off the door as she walked over to him. She placed her hand on his shoulder.
