We make it back to the safe house, and I immediately find myself changing into my comfortable clothes. I lift up my tank top as I apply pressure to the wound with a bandage, remembering I had left the gauze and tape in the cupboard.

"Shit," I murmur as I sludge towards the door. I open it, expecting it to be empty. Instead, it was Ghost with his cloth skull baklava in nothing but his military pants and no shirt. His back was coated in scars that seemed to be in the shape of lashes and cuts, and his muscles and veins protruded out from his skin. He was lean yet muscular at the same time, which didn't seem to surprise me.

"Shit, I'm sorry-" I attempt to close the door, but instead he turns around as he leaves a hand on it. His eyelashes were blonde, and while his face was dirty you could see the hazel in his eyes. I swallow, trying to avoid the awkwardness.

"Looking for this, Laswell?" He holds up the gauze and bandage, and I notice he looks down at my desperate attempt to keep the flow at bay with the bandage.

"Ever wounded on the field before?" He asks.

"Uh.. yes, plenty."

"Without medical?"

"No..." I trail off trying to avoid the tension. I couldn't not look at him, but at the same time I couldn't help it.

"If you don't do it right you can do some major damage if you get hit again on the field; trust me I'd know."

"I'm sure you do," I say. "I can do it, Ghost. I'm not a rookie." I reach up to grab the supplies, but he draws it away.

"Stop being so goddamn stubborn, Laswell. That's your issue."

"And your issue is being a brooding and over jealous giant," I retort. He seems to ignore my response. He turns and slips on a black T-shirt, pointing to the counter.

"Just bloody listen to a fellow leuitenant,"

I roll my eyes as I sit in top of the counter, watching his gloved hands press in on the bloody mess, cleaning it, tightening the bandage along with layering gauze and securing the tape. His hand almost fit around me as if he could throw me like a football.

The whole time however, his head stayed low and he said absolutely nothing to me.

"There." He flatly says.

I nod to him, jumping off of the counter. "I, uh... thanks.. I guess." I usually didn't like accepting help; but if I was being honest, I could be a bit too stubborn. "Sorry for walking in."

I turn to him, and he simply nods to me. Weird mysterious man, even more weird demeanor.

"Just don't do it again." He says short.

Suddenly, an urgent Soap approaches the door. His expression was taken aback at first, but he was panting. He holds up a phone, handing it to me. I slowly take it, giving him a confused look.

"Red, it's urgent. Price just informed me that Kate has been captured by the Al-Qatala,"

My chest suddenly deflated, and my world seemed to freeze over.
