Morning finally broke, and that was when I realized that I had at least gotten two hours of sleep. I look up, seeing Ghost's back against the wall and his eyes closed. He always looked timid, but he actually had a more peaceful demeanor to himself. He must have finally given up on the night owl act and thought to be smart. My mind starts to race thinking about last nights events, and how they were going to be confronted.

I look around, seeing Alejandro patrol the outside. I get up, stretching and walking towards the truck.

"Here, looks like you need it." Soap throws me a granola bar and an oatmeal MRE. I take it, nodding and examining the food. I haven't realized that throughout the last few days I haven't had much except water and snack food here and there.

I open the MRE, taking out the plastic spoon and scooping out the thick mush. I grimace, but pop it in my mouth for the sake of energy. It tasted like wet cardboard.

"Needs sugar."

Soap laughs in response, typing away at the computer in front of him.

"So, what's the move? Kate call yet?" I ask Soap as I manage to choke down the oatmeal.

"Yep," Soap heads over to me, sliding the computer in my direction. The map blinks, a red dot indicating a place that wasn't Mexico.

"Fuck. Wait... D.C.?" I gasp as my eyes widen.

Soap nods to me, a disappointed look in his face. "He did say we were going up in flames. We are flying out in an hour. He's located in the central D.C. building; we need to disarm and then kill Hassan."

"Definitely." I say. I shove the oatmeal away from my face, shoving the hair from my forehead as I hang my head between my hands.

"Eat," the oatmeal slides back to me and I look up to see Ghost. He looks at me with a certain intent, but all I could do was shake my head.

"I can't. Weren't you just sleeping?" I point over to the corner.

Ghost looks over there then to me. "Only for about an hour." He then looks to Soap, pointing at the computer. "Do we know if the building is flooded?"

"It is," Soap looks at all of us, Alejandro joining by my side. "We're going to need all hands on deck."

"Great," I sigh as I roll my eyes. "So who's killing this mother fucker?"

"I'll sweep a floor then snipe from the roof in case things go south." Ghost vouches. "I'll get visuals on each level and aid if needed."

"It's settled. Soap and I will go in then."

"Too risky, we can call in back up-" Ghost contests again.

I look to Ghost, twisting my mouth. "We are going in. Soap is great on the field with melee and explosives. I'm good with tech and guns. Perfect duo," I look to Soap giving him a fist bump.

"I'll go in," Ghost offers.

"No. We need you on the roof. You're one of the best eyes we got; that's one of the reasons why Price chose you." I say crossing my arms.

"She has a point, Ghost." Alejandro says next to me. "I know I cannot come with you guys on this, but I recommend you listen to hermosa here." Alejandro winks at me, and I smirk in response.

"2 v 1, lieutenant. What will it be?" I lift my chin.

"Fine. Just don't die." Ghost says flatly, looking away. "Let's get going!" He pats the hood of the truck, walking away.

"Thanks, Alejandro," I smile.

"Of course. You're bad ass, hermosa. One of the best I've seen if you ask me. You guys stay safe, alright? Keep in touch if you need anything."

"We will," I smile as Soap pats Alejandro's shoulder.

And just like that, we were on our way to what we came to Mexico to do.

Kill Hassan.
