"Wake up, people. We got news." Soap slaps his hand on the hood of the truck, his eyes fixated on the computer screen.

I walk over, finishing braining my hair into two. "What's the move?" I lean down, seeing the coordinates blink on a secure sight in Mexico. Ghost joins besides Soap, leaning over the hood and grabbing the computer from Soap.

"We have to meet Graves somewhere to grab something apparently .." Soap says.

"Alejandro," Ghost calls.

Rudolfo and Alejandro runs over, looking directly at the screen. "Oh, shit." Rudolfo says.

"What do you mean oh shit?" I raise my eyebrows, Soap joining beside me.

"It's a highly secured safe house where they're rumored to keep El Sin Nombre."Alejandro finishes. "It's complicated. They bring you in for questioning if they feel you have important information.." Alejandro trails off. "They know me and Rudolfo, it's too dangerous for that."

"I can go." I say blankly. I look up to everyone who looks at me as if I'm mad. "I'm a girl, what's the worse that can happen."

"They're rumored to not be the most merciful to women. Take advantage of them." Alejandro says.

"Then absolutely not," Ghost interjects.

"Definitely agreeing with that, I'll go instead." Soap says.

"Who are you to make decisions for me?" I look to both Ghost and Soap. "You underestimate me, let alone a woman's seduction powers." I cross my arms. "Let me do it."

Everyone slowly exchanges glances. "Fine." Ghost says. "Only because I have the call, Laswell."

"Where and why are we meeting Graves?" I ask Soap. I didn't want to see the man honestly; a part of me didn't trust him- why? I was never so sure, but his demeanor was.. off. Odd.

"We are going to- you are to go into interrogation with intel about the Shadow Company. It's something they're interested in; and just to make sure you're not blowing smoke out of your ass he's going to give you a patch to show to them." Soap says.

"Got it. Let's head out." I grab the duffel bag, tossing it into the backseat onto the floor and hopping in.

"You sure this is a good idea, Laswell." Ghost comes up beside me, looking down directly at me.

"Positive," I finish. "I'll show you."

"Have you been on a solo mission before." This wasn't a question, but an assumption.

"Plenty," I say monotonous. Ghost slides in beside me, his eye staying on me.

Soap slides in next to me, and Alejandro takes the wheel. "El Sin Nombre, here we come." Alejandro says.

——

"Expose Shadow, give intel, capture." Alejandro says.

"Got it," I say as I make a mental note in my head.

"You're really sending her in?" Graves asks interrogative style. I snatch the path from his grip.

"Yes, I offered and I'm more than capable." I say crossing my arms.

"We tried to talk her out of it," Soap says.

"You on board with this Riley?" Graves looks to Ghost, as if he was expecting him to disagree.

"On board. I trust Laswell's field strategy." Ghost says blankly.

Graves puts a finger and thumb to the bridge of his nose and pinches it, sighing. "Alright. Well don't fuck this mission up." Graves looks to me, taking a step towards me. I could see a sly smirk hiding underneath his serious demeanor.

"Let's go," I say as I turn and go towards the field. Graves walks off into his chopper, flying up and away. I could feel his eyes on the back of my head the whole time.

"Alright. Go to the front, say you have important information about the Shadow Company. They're going to bring you in for interrogation," Alejandro repeats to me. "I'll meet you inside when you're off the elevators- I'll kill a guard get in his suit, I'll blend in. Then I'll have Ghost and Soap enter to help capture Sin Nombre."

I nod, breathing in. "Got it,"

"They may be rough, but it's a part of their gig. Follow along," Rudolfo hints.

"Hey Red," I turn to see Soap nod to me. "You got this." He smiles.

I return it and toss my gun to Ghost, running out of the field with my hands up and my mannerisms civilian-like.

Two guards stationed at the gates with guns start directing their attention towards me, pointing their guns in my direction.

"Freeze!" One of them calls out in a Mexican accent.

"I have important intel!" I yell out. I walk to the front of them, and one of them immediately kick the back of my knee to the ground, making me kneel in a surrendering motion.

"Who are you!"

"My name is Ruby, Ruby Wilson." Laswell was not to exit my mouth- not in this country. "The Shadow Company. Graves. I know it all," I breathe as I give them my manipulative eyes.

The guards look to each other and nod, forcefully grabbing my by the armpits and dragging and pushing me into the warmly lit building that looked like a met gala for rich people.

I look behind me, seeing a worried Soap and a tense Ghost.

Time to prove these mother fuckers wrong, Laswell.
