I was sitting in my apartment, looking at pictures of me and Zach on my phone. Suddenly, my phone started buzzing. I looked at it and saw that it was Iris calling, so I answered it.

"Hey, Iris. What's up?" I said.

"Zoe, I need your help. Now," Iris told me.

I furrowed my brows when I heard the sound of gunfire. "Were those gunshots?"

"Yeah. I'm at Baldwin Tower," Iris said. "I can't find a way out."

I got off my bed and walked over to my closet to get my suit. "Window. Is there a window?"

"Um, yeah," Iris said. "Up ahead."

I walked out of my closet and walked to my window, opening it

I walked out of my closet and walked to my window, opening it.

"Okay. I'm by the window. Why?" Iris asked.

"Okay, great. You're gonna need to jump," I told her.

"What? Are you crazy? Zoe, no way!" Iris told me.

"Iris, do you trust me?" I asked.

"Yes," Iris answered. "I trust you."

"Okay. Then jump," I told her as I did the same, blazing to Baldwin Tower.

As I reached Iris' location, I saw her falling from the tower, screaming. I flew faster towards her and let the fire fade as I grabbed so that only my back was ignited. I flew us down to the ground, placing her down, gently and my fiery wings disappeared.

"All right. You good?" I asked.

"Yeah," Iris told me.

"All right," I was about to ignite to go back into the tower but stopped myself. "Wait. How many guys are up there?"

"Two. They both have guns," Iris said.

I nodded. "Okay."

I ignited, blazing up the tower to go inside. The men saw me and tried to shoot me. I instantly morphed into fire so that the bullets just passed right through me, they looked at me in shock and I smiled, continuing to walk closer to them as they kept firing.

I grabbed the guns, heating them up and making the men drop them. Then I extinguished the flames and rubbed my hands together, creating electricity and shocked them until they fell unconscious.

I grabbed the guns and returned to Iris.

I dropped the guns. "Now they're taking little naps until the CCPD wakes them. So, what exactly were you thinking?"

"I got a hot lead on a real estate scam," Iris told me. "I mean, these guys have been illegally evicting people, breaking up families."

"Okay, look. No story is worth your life," I told her.

Iris laughed, hugging me. "Thank you for coming." She pulled away. "I can't wait to write about this."

Iris and I parted ways. She ran back to her car and I ignited, soaring through the sky back to my apartment.
