After our fight with Zoom and Hellfire, Barry and I were still recovering. My eyesight had healed somewhat, all I could see was red and Barry had to use a cane to help him walk.
We were in the Cortex and I could hear Joe talking to Barry.
"All right, I got you," Joe said.
"Okay," Barry groaned in pain. "I can't do it right now, all right."
"Oh, yes, you can, Barry," Joe told him.
"No, no, no," Barry replied.
"We were making so much progress," Joe said.
"Yep, six whole steps," Barry told him. "Someone get me a Bozo button."
Cisco chuckled. "Hey, give yourself some credit. You just broke your back."
"Yeah, a normal person would've been paralyzed the rest of his life," I heard Iris say. "And permanently blind or dead after having their eyes burned out. How are you, Zoe? You holding up?"
I sighed. "I guess. Still can't see anything and it kinda hurts when I blink, so I'm just relying on my hearing. How long until we're fully healed?"
"The initial MRI I took a few days ago on Barry's back showed a complete dislocation at the T-12 to L-one interspace of the thoracolumbar junction," Caitlin informed us. "But this is the MRI I took this morning. It should take a couple more days for Zoe's eyesight to return. It's remarkable, but you're both almost completely healed."
"I'm still having trouble breathing," Barry told us.
"That's totally normal with a spinal injury," Caitlin replied. "It should clear up soon."
"We're gonna get you back in those suits, guys," Joe told us. "Real quick. Trust me."
"What are we gonna do about Zoom and Hellfire?" I asked.
"No sign of them since you and Cisco nailed them with those tranq darts," Joe answered.
"And I haven't vibed since then," Cisco added.
"Maybe they're not coming back," Iris said.
"I highly doubt that." Harrison said.
I spun around, not knowing where to look when I heard Harrison's voice.
"Which is why I'm gonna go do something about it," he told us.
"What do you mean, 'go do something about it'?" Caitlin asked.
"I need access to your breach room and I need you, Zoe," Harrison answered.
I spun around to look the other way and sensed he was standing right in front of me. "Why is that?"
"Because, Zoe, I need you to take me home." Harrison told me.
I frowned, the movement hurting the skin around my eyes.
------>
Joe was suspicious of Harrison. "So, you show up on our Earth, you screw everything up and now you want to go home. Sounds very familiar."
"Again, that wasn't me," Harrison said. "I need to go take care of Zoom and Hellfire once and for all before anyone else gets killed."
"How do you plan on doing that?" Barry asked.
"I'll think of something," Harrison answered. "Zoe, if you'll escort me to the breach room."
"No, no," Caitlin said. "Zoe doesn't even have her sight back. She's in no condition to fly anywhere. Look, if you can figure out how to stop Zoom and Hellfire on your Earth, you can figure out how to do it here. We need you to stay here until we defeat them, Dr. Wells."
