Rafe went to tuck in Marlene thirty minutes ago which is a little bit too long and I wanted to cuddle for a little bit before going to sleep.

I walk through the corridor of our shared home tip toeing carefully if Marlene is already sleeping.

The door is slightly open and the light is still shining as I walk up to it.

I grip the handle before hearing my daughters soft voice drooping curiousness.

„Daddy?"

„Yeah what is it sweetheart?" I hear Rafe answer softly.

„Josie's parents don't loooove eachother anymore..." she quitely says her voice fading.

„This happens sometimes, some adults fall out of love, butterfly." he answers sincerely.

I sit down next to her door getting more comfortable.

She starts sniffing before speaking up again.

„W-will you snd m-mommy fall out of love?" She asks sadness now obvious on her voice.

I hear shuffling and the squeaking of her bed.

„Let me tell you something." He says probably tucking her under her blanket.

„When daddy was younger he was always admired by many many beautiful girls and he liked to bask in that, however auntie Sarah always had this one friend..."

„Mommy?" Marlene asks.

„Yes, mommy." Rafe answers.

I feel my heart skip and try to keep it together.

„So basically daddy would always find excuses to go to auntie Sarah's room to get something or anything else so he could catch a glimpse of her best friend. He also would always mock her because he didn't want to show what mommy was doing to him. He would always watch her walk around the house and uncle top and uncle Kelce would always make fun of him for that. But that never changed the way daddy looked at Sarah's best friend."

„Tell me more daddy!" I hear Marlene bellowing softly.

I giggled to myself loving the enthusiasm Marlene  inherited by her dad.

„Okay so... daddy was always super confident around girls but one night there was this huuuuge storm and and mommy was supposed to be meeting Sarah at her house but Sarah's was still somewhere else and told mommy to wait at tannyhill. So when mommy arrived I was the only one at home and two minutes after she arrived Sarah sent her a message telling her that she couldn't come because of the incoming storm. So mommy was stranded at home with daddy." Rafe told her.

„What happens next?" Marlene asks excited, her tiredness fully gone by now.

„The storm was super strong and made the whooped house shake and mommy was alone downstairs. What daddy didn't know back then was mommy's extreme fear of- you know what?" Rafe asks wanting Marlene to finish the sentence.

„THUNDERSTORMS!" Marlene shrieks.

„Yes thunderstorms, daddy was upstairs in his room when his door opened and mommy stood in the open door. Daddy never had such a racing heart and was getting very nervous which was new to him because daddy was always overly confident around girls but when mommy stood there dressed up in her plaid Pyjama pants and her white oversized shirt he forgot how to speak, mommy asked daddy if she could stay inside his room with him because she was scared and daddy was only capable of nodding because he was sooooo nervous. Mommy spent the whole two days the storm lasted always around daddy and daddy found his confidence again they had the best time and-„

„The storm lasted TWO DAYS?" Marlene asks in shock. „That must've been so scary."

„Yes it did it was indeed very scary. Mommy and Daddy overcame this time with dancing, baking, watching movies and more. And after these two days daddy did the thing he aaaaalways thought was impossible. He asked mommy out. And on the seventeenth October 2022 he asked mommy out and since then they have been inseparable and always together and sooo in love." Rafe swoons.

„What then?" Marlene asks.

„On the twenty third July 2024 mommy and daddy got married and on the third august 2024 mommy found out that she was pregnant, with you my little firefly." Rafe tells Marlene to which she giggled uncontrollably.

„So on the sixth April 2025 sweet, little Marleen was born and rocked my world. I've never been happier in my life than I was when my sweet little babygirl was born." Rafe ends the story.

„Okay, so let me tell you that mommy and daddy will never ever fall out of love because daddy is incapable of living without mommy or his baby daughter." Rafe tells her placing a kiss on her forehead.

„Can you tell me one more thing about mommy?" Marlene answers, yawning.

„If I know one thing about mommy, it is that I love her unconditionally and I am so happy that I put you in her belly and that I chose her to be my forever. So I can assure you that mommy and daddy will never split up." Rafe assured her placing a final kiss on her head before easing from the bed.

I hear him move so I raise from my position and quietly run down the hallway and jumping on the bed.

I see him enter our shared bedroom and raise from the bed walking towards her.

„I heard you." I tell him, tears springing to my eyes.

He smiles down at me and lets his body drop down onto of mine. I wrap my whole body around him like a baby monkey and hold him as close as possible. tucking my head into his neck.

„I love you so much I never want to leave you, ever. You're my everything Rafe Cameron."

„And you're mine, thank you for choosing me to be your forever, Y/n." Rafe mumbles into my neck squeezing me even closer.

„I have to tell you something." I mumble my heartbeat increasing.

He pushes his head up and locks eyes with me.

„What- what is it?" He asks.

I bend over to my bedside table and take a box out of my drawer handing it to him, nervously chewing on my cheek.

He opens it and takes the little piece of plastic out taking a closer look at it.

He pushed his body up quickly jumping off the bed.

„You're pregnant again!!!!" He whisper-shouted jumping up and down, the biggest grin ever in his face.

„Yes I am." I told him softly.

„Oh my god I can't believe this!!! I've done it again!!!" He excitedly whisper-shouts.

He sets the pregnancy test down before climbing onto the ned wrapping me in his arms holding me as closely to him as possible.

„I love you so fucking much." he says, scooting down and pressing kisses to my belly.

„I'm so excited for my little wonder." He carefully says in a sing-song voice.
