Chapter 16

After the sword practice for like an hour , they take a break . Sitting down on the river side . Jimin gives everyone the water while taehyung takes out the fruits they brought with them . Taehyung cut the apple and hands jungkook one piece while having other for himself .

You did great jungkookie , again the nickname slips out of his lips but jungkook doesn't find it odd , why would he , when almost everyone adores him and he knows that . Though taehyung finds his conscious self being awaken by the word he used . He looks at jungkook for any sign of discomfort but when he finds none , he smiles satisfied and continues ,

I just want you to work on yourself to the point you can take it ok ? Don't overwork yourself ever and always keep in mind that you are perfect as you are , jungkook looks at him and smiles . He nods . He knows taehyung is trying his best to not make him feel any low of himself and he totally loves that .

We will practice your aim next princess , yoongi says and jungkook nods .

He feels good to know that he is improving though it's been only few hours since he started .

They again get up after 15 minutes and this time yoongi comes forward . Hoseok sets a fake mannequin at a fair distance and jimin hands jungkook the arrow and the bow . Jungkook examines his surroundings first as yoongi says ,

Let's see , give it a try on your own , jungkook gulps , he has no idea how he is supposed to handle the thing . His eyes search here and there and finally lands on taehyung , the male who is standing across him at a safe distance from the mannequin , soft smile adoring his lips , eyes shining with admiration , jungkook feels his confidence getting boosted up just by one look from the male and he knows he can do it . Taking in a deep breath , he passes an equally soft smile to taehyung before focusing his eyes on the target .

He holds the bow up and stretches the arrow towards himself , closing his one eye , he makes himself ready to shoot the arrow exactly on the mannequin's heart . He lets the arrow free from his grip , the arrow going straight to his aim and pierces exactly on the spot he was targeting , well jungkook finds himself awestruck . How he managed to do that in the first place ?

His eyes instantly lands on taehyung , he can see his eyes now shining with pride mix with the previous admiration and jungkook finds for himself a new source of motivation , a new aim to make taehyung proud cause that look on the said male's face is enough to make jungkook feel proud of himself .

Everyone claps for the boy who smiles shyly and yoongi comes forward as he pats his head and says ,

Your aim seems to be perfect princess but we need to practice more , jungkook nods .

They again take position and start the practice , each time jungkook is about to aim , he first eyes taehyung who keeps nodding at him encouragingly and jungkook shoots right at the targets . He was never this proud of himself ever .

After practicing for 3 more hours they conclude it for the day and promise to meet after 2 days . Asking jungkook to carry on his practice , they all make their way back to the kingdom .

Jimin and hoseok long gone , the trio make their way to the palace . It's around evening . Reaching the living room , they find everyone sitting there . The former king and queen smile looking at the trio as the queen gestures them to have a seat . They all sit down .

How was your practice prince ? The queen asks to which jungkook looks at her gratefully before saying ,

It's going good Your highness . Thank you so much for letting me stay here even though i am being nothing but a burden to you , before queen can say anything , king voices out ,

What are you saying prince . Everyone knows that you are not a burden to us . It's our responsibility to be there for each and every one of a person and we are grateful that you agreed for coming here . Make yourself at home jungkook , you are no less than our own child to us , jungkook looks down , oh how much blessed he is feeling at the moment as he finds himself nodding , his head not being able to be held up by the gratefulness of the king and queen . Queen softly pats his head and says ,

You guys should take some rest before dinner , you must be tired , all the three nod and are about to go but namjoon stops them as he said ,

Mmm , I want to give Min Yoongi the place of chief guard in my arm forces if he wants to , namjoon looks at yoongi who is looking at jungkook . It's a big deal for him but he owns the same place at kingdom Zeus . Yoongi sees jungkook smiling and nodding but he himself is not ready . Though he is the chief guard of the arm force of kingdom Zeus alongside being jungkook's bodyguard but he has earned that place with his skills . He doesn't want anyone to give him anything unless it's him who achieves it by his own . He turns to namjoon and bows his head respectfully before saying ,

Thank you so much for considering me worthy enough for the post your majesty but i can't accept it . I don't want to humiliate you but in my life i have achieved everything i wanted with my skills and you giving me this place will not do justice to my self believe . I am sorry your majesty but i can't accept it , he says so respectfully as he stands there bowing his head in pure respect for the king . Namjoon feels more than proud to have such a loyal and hardworking person in his kingdom . He finds it amusing how yoongi refused for such a big position in a blink just because he found it being given to him in favour . Kingdom Zeus truthfully have raised so many gems .

Namjoon stands up as he walks to yoongi and pats his shoulder as he says ,

Min yoongi . You made me so proud by your answer . Now i want to offer you the same place just because you made me see you as more worthy of it than anyone else , yoongi smiles . He knows his worth , he knows what he is capable of and he is proud of himself for gaining that without anyone's favour . He nods .

But your majesty , i will go back to Kingdom Zeus once prince jungkook wants so leaving the position , namjoon nods .

You are allowed , they smile and namjoon gives yoongi a side hug before the three are dismissed .

Namjoon sits down , sighing , he looks at his appa who has a pure smile looking in the direction the three went as he mumbles ,

I must say , King Jaebum and Queen Juhi have raised the gems , jungkook doesn't know yet but he is going to shine bright in the future i can say that and yoongi , well he is already a diamond . I am telling you joon and jin , you both shouldn't lose them they are too good to be given up . Precious babies , protect them at all cost , namjoon and jin nod . There is something about the two specially jungkook that make people adore him in every way possible , perhaps it's his beauty , his innocence , his aura , his charms , his understanding personality , or maybe the he himself , no one knows .
