Chapter 19

Taehyung gets a grand welcome in kingdom Amaris as it's his first time visiting the kingdom as their prince after their engagement . He has always been loved in this kingdom from the start but this welcome is something else . People this time are not just welcoming the prince of Kingdom Sella who is known as the most powerful and sharp minded yet soft hearted prince but they are welcoming the fiance of their princess and the future heir of their kingdom , the welcome has to be grand .

Taehyung takes in all the love he is being showered in from the people and repays them with his beautiful smile which he blesses very less people with .

Once he reaches the kingdom palace , he sees that the king and queen are standing to welcome him along with his fiance Jiwoo . He bows to all of them , going to the king to hug him who smiles and pats his back , he then holds the queen's hand and kisses the knuckles as she smiles and pats his head . He turns to Jiwoo and they both smile at each other . Standing face to face , he raises his hand and they do their usual handshake which ends with him bowing to her and her doing the curtsy , they giggle afterwards , king and queen looking at them fondly .

All of them get inside and taehyung sighs as he sees the already decorated breakfast table , he turns to the queen and complains ,

Your highness , i had told you to not do anything for me . I just came here for a visit , nothing special , queen smiles at his whinny complaint and says ,

This is the first time you are visiting us prince besides it's our manners to treat anyone well so how could I not , she shrugs making taehyung sigh .

Now as you have already prepared everything , i can't say no , and all of them chuckle , he is just too adorable to resist sometimes .

They settle down and have the breakfast while chitchatting about random things . Though taehyung already had his breakfast at the kingdom but he can't just refuse the queen and her efforts so he had to give in .

After breakfast , the two royals leave the couple alone as Jiwoo guides taehyung to the backyard . She knows , he is not here just for the visit . The two know each other all too well to hide anything as she also has a slight bit of idea what he wants to talk about . They both settle down on the grass , it's quite chilly for the afternoon so they like it outside . Sitting side by side , they kept looking at the open sky , the blue hue of the afternoon sky mixed with orange dense colour sunrays are spreading makes it look dreamy .

The sky of different times of the day depicts different meanings as in , the morning sky emits the softness and the lively energy telling the world to look up to the new fresh and lively start no matter how your night went . The night sky soothes one's pain from the melodious rays of the moon and the stars shinning brighter each day , the moonrays depicting the fact that despite the night being the darkest of all the times throughout a cycle of the day , there is always a sign of hope in the darkest of the times as the night possess the light of the moon . So as the afternoon sky points towards the freedom , the ability of one's self to fly high without any care in the world as the sky is open , wide and welcoming , guiding every little soul through the difficulties , through the day . It feels surreal and everything seems meaningful once you learn to decode the meaning of words nature has hidden behind its beauty .

You know you can tell me anything right ? Jiwoo finally voices out making taehyung sigh . Is he really this easy to read ? Or does she possess some powers to read him everytime , he has no idea .

I don't know how to voice it out Ji , he calls her ji , the nickname he uses quite rarely and she knows the meaning behind it . She knows her best friend needs her , she knows he needs her to listen to him like a best friend not as a fiance , he needs her to understand his inner war as a friend not as a fiance and she smiles at that .

Look at me V , she addresses him with the name she gave him as her best friend . She always admires the way he is always so persistent and determined to win , to prove his worth and be the best version of himself so she named him V as a short form of Victory .

He turns around and they now are sitting across each other . She raises both of her hands and says ,

Hold my hands , close your eyes , take in a deep breath and let it out . Your Ji is here for you anytime you need her , the words make him smile . He has no idea what good things he has done in his past life to deserve her . He closes his eyes and holds her hands tightly . Taking in a deep breath , he smiles .  Jungkook's face coming in his view , his innocent , happy face as he says ,

I love him Ji . I love him more than i myself know . I don't know how all this happened but since the day I saw him , met him for the first time , there was always this pull i felt towards him and in no time he captured my heart without me knowing . The way he smiles , he laughs , he becomes happy over small things , he concentrates , everything about him screams delicacy and i want to protect him at all cost , love him , cherish him like he deserves . I am sorry Ji but i can't marry princess Jiwoo and i neither want to start anything with my love with the guilt of cheating someone else behind anyone's back . So before doing anything i am here to tell you that i can't carry on this engagement . I don't wanna hurt you but i don't wanna lose him either . I love him more than anything in this world ,

The silence engulfs the two as taehyung finishes his words . Still with his closed eyes , he waits for her response . He can feel her squeezing his hands from time to time before he hears her .

T-tae , he hears her but what shocks him is her voice , the vulnerable voice makes him open his eyes abruptly only to see her eyes shedding tears . He panics , what he has done , he made his best friend cry , he made his finance cry .

Jiwoo i am sorry , hey don't cry please , i am really sorry , he keeps apologising and she keeps shaking her head while her eyes shed tears continuously, she finds herself unable to utter a word as he keeps going , i am so stupid . I promise i will try to forget him , i will not mention him ever again . I am so stupid i am so- he is cut off by her cupping his face and shushing him loudly . He looks like a lost puppy with his cheeks being squished and his lips jutting out in a pout .

I am crying not because I am sad but because I am happy . I am happy that you finally realised your feelings you stupid human , this makes taehyung to look at her all confused , i knew you were falling for him , Jeon Jungkook , the love of your life . Trust me i knew it even before you yourself knew and i am more than happy for you tae , this makes taehyung to smile widely still with pout though as he hugs her tightly and mumbles ,

Oh ji , you scared me , and they both giggle with tears in their eyes . Their bond is indeed precious to be ruined by anything , anytime .
